The staff were lovely - very helpful. Our room at the top of the hotel was quite small and the toilet/shower room was tiny. Breakfast was good. We were a bit surprised to be charged £12.50 for parking as that was never mentioned in the booking process. Overall very happy and would stay again.

Recent negative changes to this hotel
This used to be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Change of ownership has resulted in a new £12 charge to park your car, no check in after 8.30pm unless you pay £30 charge and a poor central booking service. The good thing is that the staff working at the hotel haven’t changed so you still get a great breakfast and warm, friendly service.

Good location
The running of the hotel has recently been taken over, at the moment it retains a friendly, welcoming persona. Would definitely return. If you are able to get a parking space at the hotel, there is now a £12.50 a day charge.

Only a one night stay but staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and free limited parking. If you want to stay where you are a guest and not a number this is the place to stay.

Friendly welcome and staff. spacious clean, modern room, great breakfast. Close to town centre and free parking. Few niggles, hard bed, cold morning shower, shampoo/conditioner provided, but no shower gel, had to pay for bottled water - get the basics right and would be perfect!

Ease of Parking, Small but fully functional top floor room . Clean and tidy although warm with no AC but a small fan was provided. Excellent choice at breakfast and a served with individual attention

Ideal location in Plymouth. 10 mins walk to the Hoe. Very friendly and helpful staff. I used to regularly stay there when on business. Now I’m very happy to stay there for leisure.

Very convenient location. Beautiful Victorian buildings with lots of original features retained giving a great feel. Nice room with very modern en-suite all of which were spotlessly clean. Finished off with a hearty breakfast. I will definitely return.

Why a superb hotel and staff
My Mum and I visited to attend the theatre. The location was absolutely perfect, the parking was brilliant and the staff and service were amazing. As it was a 'big' birthday celebration for my Mum, I asked whether they were able to arrange something in the room for her. They went above and beyond, made everything so special and charged an incredibly reasonable price. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area - we loved it!
