Short stop but good.

Posted 24-Sep-2014
Pros: Room could take 3 adults at a good price.good location.
Cons: Not really.
Location: The Quay and it's restaurants, close to centre, train stations and sights.
Easy to find, close to city centre.3 beds in room which we requested ,space a little tight but you cannot have it both ways.it did what we wanted at a very reasonable price. breakfast was very good.

Convenient clean hotel

Posted 23-Sep-2014
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Very nice friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Air con
Location: Walking distance quay and city centre. On busy road so traffic noise intrusive.
Disappointed I could not have room requested as message not forwarded by Expedia, would check with hotel direct before booking again! So, small but comfortable room, staff excellent.. Rather noisy in road outside when pubs/clubs closed on Saturday, but sound insulation within hotel excellent. Air conditioning would be a bonus as very warm at night.

Convenient hotel within walking distance of Exeter

Posted 07-Sep-2014
Pros: Closeness of location to centre of city. Free and spacious parking. Cleanliness of rooms and dining room and beautiful decoration throughout.
Cons: It would probably be better to have the cereal, yogurts and fruit juice available for people to help themselves whilst waiting for cooked breakfasts.
Location: Walks to the river Exe and the pubs, bars and shops. Also a lovely walk to the city centre with many shops, the cathedral and other beautiful histor
The hotel was easily visible from the road for ease of entering its driveway and had ample free parking. Receptionist very professional and helpful. Room and shower room very clean, but a shame about all the noise on the stairs, with people up and down and doors closing on the landing quite a lot. Bed also not so comfortable. Breakfast room very beautifully decorated. Just a little confusion over what to order as everything has to be requested from the staff and is not there to be obtained, for instance, orange juice, yogurt, cereals and so on. Also disappointed about not being asked how we would like our poached eggs as had expected them to be runny and not hard, so in hindsight we should probably have asked.

Exeter stay

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Location: I can whole heartedly recommend the small Moroccan restaurant in the shadow of the Cathedral. A lovely atmosphere and welcome and great Mezze!
St Andrew's was perfect for our needs. A lovely welcome on arrival, a comfortable room, plenty of parking, a great breakfast and 15 minutes from the city centre. Perfect!

Very friendly comfortable hotel

Posted 22-Aug-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Cannot think of anything
Location: Good location, some traffic noise in front facing (very spacious room) but so much to see and do slept well.
We enjoyed our stay very much, the friendly staff who served us a good breakfast and serviced our room were fantastic, my only worry, they worked soooo hard. I have no concerns in recommending this hotel, very convenient location, walking distance to quay and city centre. I hope to go again to this fascinating city and would stay at this hotel again, should you go I hope you would enjoy it as much as I did

Overnight business stop

Posted 10-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness and comfort were ideal, good free wifi and good breakfast. Plenty of free parking.
Cons: Nothing
Booked this for a one night business stop-over, the accommodation was welcoming and clean and within a 5 minute walk of the city centre. Lots of parking space available which made this easy and fast free wi-fi. Breakfast in the morning was well presented and tasty wide a wide choice of food.

Good value hotel close to centre and river

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Pros: As above
Cons: Little at the prices charged
Location: A leasurely walk to either the city centre or the river with numerous attractions nearby.
Hotel in very good decorative condition throughout, recently done I would think. The bus stop outside would save on parking.Excellent staff attitude but some of the guests left a little to be desired but one cannot always vet them.Overall a very nice stay but I would suggest a rear room to avoid traffic noise.
