Central

Posted 18-Oct-2014
Pros: Central location and cleanliness
Location: City center hotel. Easy walking distance to shops and the cathedral
The hotel is within walking distance of the city center shops. Staff all seemed friendly, the hotel looked clean everywhere. Convenient car park across the road to which the hotel subsidizes.

Convenient for visiting Exeter

Reception and restaurant staff were very helpful and efficient. Excellent breakfast with massive choice. The only downside was not having on site parking, though using the 24hr public car park across the road at reduced fees was ok for our three day stay.

Very basic and no free extras

Posted 23-Sep-2014
Pros: Air conditioning
Cons: It could do with a refit.
Location: It is near to the bus station and a cinema but outside the main centre.
The rooms are on the small side and laid out with the most basic of furnishings- although it is air conditioned. Everything was just a touch scruffy but it was reasonably clean. There is no view to speak of and the hotel is outside the main city centre. It's OK as a budget offer but not particularly good value or enticing. Wi Fi signal is weak unless you pay for a premium package.

Jurys Exeter. Handy but basic

Posted 09-Sep-2014
A tidy hotel that was comfortable. I tried to check in around noon but was told no rooms were ready. Also the room card keys did not work so I ended up with 4. The breakfast buffet is not worth 10 pounds unless you really eat a lot bearing in mind how close you are to the city centre.

Used as a base while visiting relatives

Posted 21-Aug-2014
Pros: Only a short walk to town centre and tourist attractions.
Cons: The inclusion of a street number ion the address would make the hotel a bit easier to locate.
Enjoyable stay made better by friendly and helpful staff.
