Good value stop over.

Posted 02-Feb-2015
Pros: The staff were excellent couldn't be more helpful.
Cons: A/c could be upgraded.
Location: Town centre not too far. We went to record office close by for family research.
We wanted a good priced hotel near to Exeter, the Holiday Inn Express did everything we needed. The only disappointment was a noisy air conditioning unit. The included breakfast was buffet with cooked sausage, egg & beans included. We ate at the Barn Owl across the car park in the evening it was pretty busy but we could see why good value and fair sized portions.

excellent stop over

Posted 13-Dec-2014
Pros: relaxed feel, helpful staff and excellent stop-over facilities.
Cons: the sofa bed in the family room would maybe have been better as a bunk bed (or two twin beds) as 10yr old and 8 yr old struggled in same bed.
Location: good pub nearby with great food but unfortunately VERY busy so had long wait for a table. Not much else in walking distance.
great experience...one night stop-over with 2 kids. Worked well with pizza ordered for the evening and drinks at the bar. Relaxed feel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great value breakfast and lovely room. Thanks you ..would definitely recommend.

One night, a Saturday in December 2014.

Posted 08-Dec-2014
Pros: Everything really.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: It's also brilliantly convenient as it is just off the M5. It suited us coming from Gloucestershire perfectly.
This hotel was perfect for our one night stay. We found the staff to be extremely helpful. The breakfast (included) was absolutely brilliant. We discovered that the hotel had been refurbished in 2007, though we felt it might have been this year. Bedrooms are fine, with an ingeniously thought out bathroom. Large TV. Free WiFi. The bedroom was superbly clean (and I am a perfectionist, I'm told!). We were very impressed. Because one of us now has a temporary walking problem, I see we could/should have asked for a ground floor room. We hope to return in April when we have a birthday lunch party near Exeter, and will remember this. A member of reception staff volunteered to wheel our case to the car. Absolutely no complaints. Just praise. (The on-line price was brilliant too)..
