“A family visit”

Well positioned regarding access to M5. A very clean and very friendly hotel. We will use it again when in the area.

Area recommendations
Purpose was to visit friends not site seeing but there are excellent shops in Exeter.

“Will use again”

We have stayed here before, the rooms are what you expect from the chain beds comfortable bathrooms spotless. We only ate breakfast which was plentiful possibly due to the hotel being very busy with a German rugby team in, as well as other guests. The Barn Owl next door was very good for evening meals.

“A Good Option”

I stayed at this HIE because i am currently commuting to work in Exeter and just want to stay in the city once a week. I did not want to pay this much for a midweek stay, but on this occassion had no option. Location is perfect for easy access from the A30, M5 and the city. Free parking is a bonus. The girl on reception was so helpful, i arrived at 9.30pm and she was cheerful, informative and really helped me have a good night's rest after getting something to eat and drink - fuss free. Bedroom was tidy, comfortable and very quiet. TV was a bit rubbish but i coped! The cutelittle Holiday Inn breakfast is always welcomed, i grabbed some fruit and a croissant as i left! Overpriced a bit for what you get, but a comfortable, safe option.

Area recommendations
Exeter is generally a safe city all over. The newish shopping precinct is very nice, with a cafe culture vibe on the weekend. The cathedral green is lovely.

“Would certainly revisit.”

Hotel was lovely...very clean...breakfast also good. Only downside was wall mounted heater kept cutting in throughout night...looked for switch, but half asleep, couldn't find....so ensure you turn off before retiring...

“No problems!”

Just returned from a five night stay. Functional hotel, no stress, no bother. Breakfast efficient and substantial - after all you can eat as much as you want. Pub across is great for evening meals. No car- park and ride across the road. No worries!!!

“Cheap and cheerful”

A nice clean functional hotel with well kept rooms. The internet is reasonably priced and the packages breakfast good value for money. The pub next door - The Barn Owl - is great. The one down is the remote location - best for those on a work trip rather than trying to get the downtown Exeter experience.

Area recommendations
Downtown Exeter is great; a nice city, very scenic and good shopping. The Moors are wonderful.
