Convenient for visiting south east Devon

Posted 02-Nov-2014
Pros: Outside appearance very attractive. Easy parking outside of block where room situated. Conveniently located (if somewhat isolated).
Cons: Four a double room it was on the small side! Communal areas basic and lacking in atmosphere. Large TV in bar very off putting!!
Location: Exeter city is a beautiful mix of history and modern shopping. Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton nearby and Sidmouth and Torquay all within easy reach.
Hotel room on the small side; just about room for a double bed. A very warm room but if windows opened noise from very busy main road nearby could be heard. Room was clean and bed comfortable Dined in Oak Bar on first evening. The only atmosphere was that it was full of men all goggle-eyed watching football on large screen TV. The restaurant itself was also without atmosphere as it was in empty and in darkness. Limited choice from menu. Hotel was a little isolated but in view of the fact we wanted to visit Exeter and further south it was conveniently located.

Ideal location for visiting lots of places.

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Lovely homely feeling.
Cons: Very happy with how it is.
Location: With a car it is in close proximity to Exeter and local beaches.
Have visited this hotel regularly each month throughout this year. Staff now recognise us and always give us a very warm welcome. This is a lovely, clean hotel with very nice staff; good food and is great value for money. Due to a wedding in September, we had to stay at the Premier Inn and eat in the awful Brewers Fayre. Couldn't wait to get back to Exeter Court.

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: Room was comfy clean and had everything we wanted, even had iron and board in room. Really hot water in modern superb bathroom.
Cons: nothing
Location: Handy for main route into Exeter.
Wanted somewhere reasonably priced as already paid out to go to an event in Exeter that night. Hotel receptionist very friendly, could park more or less outside hotel room.

Pros: location
Cons: shower doors...ours came off...
Location: Just at end of M5 and great base to tour Devon / Cornwall
Great Location, just off M5/A38 and easy to find. 10 mins out of Exeter and half hour to Torbay. Rooms were clean and staff really nice and helpful. Great breakfast.

Close to the motorway without the noise!

Posted 25-Sep-2014
Loved the layout - more like a motel so no noise from above. However we were lucky with the weather. Don't think it would be pleasant going to breakfast if it was raining, although there is an umbrella in the room!

Visiting 'Childhood Haunts'

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms, especially the beds.
Cons: The room smelt a little 'fusty'. The windows are restricted on 'opening', so we didn't feel they were totally aired through.
Location: Great location. Straight onto A38 for Exeter and the coast for Teignmouth, Torquay, Exmouth, Sidmouth etc.
We were at Exeter University Open Day and decided to stay overnight. The Exeter Court Hotel was well rated on Expedia and so, we booked it! My husband and I had stayed at Exmouth and Teignmouth as children, so visited 'old haunts'!!

Decent stay

Posted 02-Sep-2014
Location was good for us between Exeter, Dartmoor and the coast. Easy to get around. Rooms are small but functional. Good shower. Breakfast was better than normally at a hotel if this type in a very nice room and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. Overall very good experience. Recommended.

Good hotel for access to the area

Posted 02-Sep-2014
It was ideal for our needs in travelling the local area as it is right on the A38 and A380 junction. Noise from these roads is minimum. Room was not very big but fully equipped and the bathroom was clean with an excellent shower. Breakfasts were good and cooked to order. Parking was good mostly next to the rooms which are single storey and set round the parking area. We would certainly use it again as the price was very reasonable with better than average condition.

Wonderful hotel ideal for pleasant break .

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: What i liked about this hotel is its location, facilities, cleanliness and good food.It is also in a beautiful part of the country worth a walk.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind. But if i had any concerns i am sure the staff would only be to happy to assist.
Location: The area is well sign posted.I had a walk in the near by village there was a shop with post office .Petrol station at beginning of entrance to hotel.
It was August bank holiday weekend .On arrival to hotel Exeter court ,i was pleasantly surprised by the view and plenty of parking. It was late so we decided to be directed to our room, book in ,and try the hotel restaurant. The food was fabulous cooked to perfection. It was comforting to know that we would be retiring to a clean ,warm room. The following morning up early for hotel breakfast which was super. The staff eager to please willing to help and very friendly.

Very enjoyable!!

Posted 24-Aug-2014
My husband & I stayed here for 4 days for a short break. The room was comfortable and private in it's own little block. Not a huge room but comfortable and the bathroom was lovely especially the lovely big walk in shower. Tv & tea & coffee in room.Breakfast every morning was lovely - freshly cooked to order & fruit/ cereal / juices etc. We ate every eve in the bar of the hotel & it was great food. Very good value and fresh & hot food. Really worth trying!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go again. Easy access to lots of different places too - Brixham/Torquay/Dartmouth.
