Arran Lodge is a beautiful. Our room was spacious with quality furniture. There was a mini fridge with real milk and bottled water. A bottle of tap water is left with the kettle alongside a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate plus a lovely addition of a cupcake for each guest. The bed was comfortable and strong (the latter being a concern of mine as I'm very heavy). The bathroom was spotless with the addition of a little box full of thoughtful supplies should you have forgotten anything in your wash bag. There was a robe and slippers for each of us which was a lovely touch. The room had a private patio area which I'm looking forward to using during the nicer whether when we intend on visiting again. There was a great selection of breakfast items both hot and cold. Everything was delicious and very generous. It really set us up for the day. The breakfast room is beautiful. Location wise this B&B is amazing. 3 minutes from Torre station - you can jump on regular trains to nearby Torquay and Paignton or go the other way to the vibrant city of Exeter. 3 minutes walk round the corner is the bus that'll take you in to the town centre. That same bus (no.12) takes you all the way to the beautiful town of Brixham. Taxis to town cost less than £7 so it's well worth staying here rather than paying more than double the price to stay on the seafront. The couple that run this B&B are some of the most lovely people I've ever met! Couldn't do enough to make our stay wonderful.

I'd give 6 stars out of 5 for welcoming and comfort if I could! Lovely place, super welcoming, had a hot water bottle in the bed on arrival as it was a cold night which I think is a lovely personal touch and was very much appreciated! Also easy to find on a main road, very close (3 minute walk) to Torre train station and an easy walk in to town. Cannot fault this place 😌

Great two night stay.
When checking in (which we were early) very warm welcome. Room was great very cosy with great facilities. Breakfast was fantastic everything was local & very tasty. Two night stay & couldn’t fault anything.

Highly Recommend
We spent a week at Arran Lodge. Martin & Karen were very welcoming & friendly, & gave good recommends on where to eat, shop & visit. The room was really great. It was spacious & clean with it's own private patio area, which was great to have. The breakfast was superb & there was everything available that you might want. We would highly recommend a stay at this lovely guest house.

Our stay at Arran Lodge
We have just got back from our long weekend break at Arran Lodge.When we arrived we were grated so warmly by the owners Karen & Martin.We stayed in room number 6 (ground floor with terraced area) The room was immaculate it had everything in it you needed and more than what you would expect and the little touches were wonderful. On Arrival we were brought a pot of tea and slice of cake which were lovely. The breakfast is outstanding you can taste the quality of the produce used. Parking is good 3 spaces outside of the property as well as on street parking we never struggled to park our car. During our stay we made reservations for The Shack which we had already booked but was also recommended to us by Karen & Martin if you are going please book in advance as it can get very busy the food was incredible. I honestly can not rate this place high enough from start to finish nothing was ever too much trouble Karen & Martin made our stay so pleasant and went above and beyond to make sure your stay was enjoyed. The location is good everything you need is close by either by a walk or short drive or public transport. myself and Sam can not wait to come back again hopefully soon the little touches that you put on everything did not go unnoticed. Thank you so much for having us and making our stay cation one to remember. Hopefully be back soon Jade & Sam xx

Excellent B&B. Owners couldn't have been more welcoming. Iron, hairdryer and a vast array of toiletries provided. Beautiful little private patio area with our room, would be fantastic in the Summer. Breakfast was exceptional.

I had the single room and it was well laid out and a good size. Did not feel cramped! The owner Jo, is very friendly and talked with all her guests offering suggestions on good places to go.

Wonderful break, just what we needed
We were given a warm, friendly welcome to Arran Lodge, and were very happy with our family room. The hotel was lovely and bright, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast we thought was the best we had ever had in a hotel, hot (and some breakfasts in hotels are not), and cooked how we liked it, nothing was too much trouble. But most of all the owner was lovely, friendly and as said before, nothing was too much trouble, extremely attentive. Will certainly be back again. We have stayed in many hotels in Torquay, 4* and less, we found this offered great value for money. Ideal for leaving your car and catching the bus, or for walking into Torquay. Perfect.

Fantastic B&B in Torquay
We had a lovely time. Hotel was very nicely decorated. The room even had complimentary cans of pop and chocolate in the fridge! Breakfast was great. The host (Jo) was lovely! We all said that we would definitely return soon!

An absolute gem
Absolutely gorgeous room and place. Great shower and bed, beautifully clean and the whole place has only been done up really recently and to a great standard. Joanne could not have been any nicer - so helpful and we had tea and cake on arrival. The breakfasts were amazing, best ever. We even had salmon one morning! It's walking distance to the town, beach and parks. Would definitely recommend this place.

The hotel was very good and is located around 15 min walk from Torquay's seaside. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly. Room was clean. Bathroom could be a little bigger. I would stay there again.

The perfect B&B
The best place we stayed on our 3 week tour of the UK. From the outside it looks like any other B&B, but inside was immaculate. The owner was super friends and informative. We had the adjoining family room (2 rooms with a door) and it was very well organized, newly refurbished, and ultra clean. The breakfast was great as well. I'm glad we stayed.

Two night stay in family room, very warm welcome and was offered tea and cake on arrival. Property was immaculate throughout and beautifully decorated. Very clean and very comfortable. Host were great and very friendly. Breakfast was fantastic evening, very good variety form fresh fruit, cereals and cooked and children have there own selection of cooked to choose from. Would highly recommend.

Had a comfortable couple of nights sleep in room 2. Nice decoration with wall paper. Lovely bathroom and good bay window. Like the modern feel of the room. Old school with new modern design is good. Good breakfast but too many questions e.g the handwritten form for breakfast...1 or 2 bacon? Bit too formal for a holiday away. Not impressed with the staggered breakfast times. Not as many tables as rooms. So you have to wait for a set time to come down for breakfast due to no free tables. Breakfast room has 4 tables and around 6/7 rooms, some of which are family rooms so you have to come down at a set time rather than between 8-10.

Tres bon sejour mais le b&b est un peu lointain du centre ville ou tout se passe (20mn a pied) Si vous venez en train arretez vous a Torre (qui est a 5mn du b&b) plutot qu'a la gare de Torquay

Jo the care taker is very nice and friendly to give whatever help and advice needed for a visitor new to the place. The room is clean and in fact the whole building seems to have just been renovated.
