Nice city center hotel
Located on the main square near the restaurants. GPS confused by the one way system but managed to find after going round in circles for quite a bit. Hotel does not have a car park, but can park in the public underground car park opposite hotel for €4 per night. Hotel has a handy drop off area. Room was clean, well fitted and excellent value for money. Very helpful staff at reception making you feel welcome. Didn't have breakfast and wished we did as there isnt much in Niort city center in August. Only downside was the design of sliding door linking bathroom to wardrobe, not deep enough to store luggage, so had to put everything into room, which is already compact. Not a problem for 1 night though.

Right in the city centre, close to shops.
We had a lovely comfortable stay. The Christmas market was on and we were lucky to have sunny weather.

Hotel in Niort centre
It was a very nice hotel in the centre of Niort. The room could have been a bit bigger (though it was enough), but otherwise it was very good.

nice hotel, but perhaps a bit far from the city.
I stayed here by accident, as the French traffic controllers were on strike and my flight back to the UK had been cancelled, so I was unable to return to the UK until the following day. This was a very pleasant hotel, good facilities (including coffee making stuff), and it was easy to get a bus to the city centre. Would stay here again.

Comfortable and convenient.
Really great hotel, conveniently located. Really really comfortable room that suited our family perfectly. Super helpful staff and James Bond-like parking across the way made this a stress free and enjoyable stopover.

Overnight stay
Beautiful hotel, had the best night sleep on the very comfortable beds. Ideal location. Would certainly stop over again enroute to the Eurotunmel.

Rather difficult to locate on satnav
Generally good but hotel seems to be new and the stated location, though central, did not appear on our satnav programme so we could not find it easily. Additionally my hotels.com booking stated I had paid in full so I did not query the charge on my credit card. However, the hotel said I needed to pay them anew, so the previous credit card entry was presumably only to see if it would be accepted in advance. This is highly confusing and I am afraid it detracts from the whole experience.

Excellent one night stopover travelling to Southern Spain, forced to travel through France because of gale force winds forced the Santander ferry to be cancelled. Stayed in several hotels in France and I would rate this one of the best. Also recommended a local restaurant which served real 'French Food' non of this fast food rubbish. Also received 15% off the excellent meal with a voucher from the hotel. Will stay again.

visit to see son in Niort
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The decor is very pleasant and the rooms comfortable and immaculately clean. We enjoyed using the bar in the evening as it was a nice relaxing area to sit. Great position on Place de la Breche close to shops, restaurants, market and the castle. There is no carpark at the hotel but you can park in the Breche underground carpark ( you have to pay). But we managed to find a free car park the other side of the river where we left our car. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment.

Only a brief one night stay
We arrived late and found the reception staff very helpful with good English. The breakfast was self service but a good selection for a relatively small hotel. The parking was not easy close to the hotel partly due to an upgrade of the square outside the hotel. The hotel has a car park under this square, it was a little tricky working out where to park and ideal to have a passenger on exit with a right hand drive car as the ticket barrier is on the left. Overall very happy and would stay there again

The reviews don't disappoint
We stayed here for one night whilst on route to Portugal after reading the reviews on the Expedia website. We were not disappointed! Great hotel, very centrally located for the town. The staff were very courteous & helpful. Our room had everything we needed for a night's stay & the bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

Excellent location and comfortable rooms.
Very pleased with my stay - I was in a suite as all standard rooms were booked. Expensive for a provincial town! Comfortable, quiet room despite being in the centre of town. Near to loads of good restaurants. Only slight complaint was the lack of power points in the room - on the desk I could not use the powere to my computer and have the desk light on at the same time.

Hôtel agréable et bon service. Dommage toutefois que le taxi qui avait été réservé la veille ne s’est pas présenté. Il a prétendu que l’hôtel avait annulé la Reservation 1 heure avant. Impossible de vérifier mais nous avons du courrier à la gare et avons failli rater le train.

Hôtel très bien situé à proximité de la place de la Brèche. Malheureusement cet hôtel est vieillissant et pas très bien insonorisé. Le personnel est très à l'écoute et sympathique. La climatisation de la chambre 315 est bruyante et le fait de donner côté place de la Brèche confirme que la chambre n'est pas bien insonorisée.
