“Great Value”
Affordable and convenient to downtown.
“Very good value, close to everything downtown.”
Convenient to everything downtown including Casino. Very good value for the money.
“Not a great hotel”
We stayed at this hotel one weekend to attend a family wedding. The location was terrific, right in the heart of downtown with a great view of the waterfront and downtown Detroit, should you be lucky enough to get a water-facing room. We had a two double bed room that faced the city, which was mediocre at best. Both beds were uncomfortable and significantly bowed. The two chairs were stained and sticky. The room itself was rundown and in need of re-decorating. The bathroom was adequate and at least was clean although the toilet didn't particularly like being flushed. Aside from the good location, the other positive to this hotel was the nice pool. It was small but well maintained and kept at a very comfortable temperature. Our kids really enjoyed it, and we adults did too. Parking was a bit of a problem if you were returning in the evening, as the small public lot adjoining the hotel was often full. To the hotel's credit, they refunded the $10 parking fee when this happened so that we could use the other lot adjoining the hotel which had plenty of spots. We would not recommend or stay at this hotel again.
“Great Location!”
I was a little skeptical when I read some of the past reviews. But we encountered none of the complaints posted by past travelers. The front staff was helpful and curteous. We had a concert at Caesar's we were going to and the walk was about 5 minutes. There was an abundance of restraurants and bars nearby and the river was across the street. We stayed on the 9th floor and the view of the Detroit skyline was magnificant. If I had to complain about anything it would be the elevator which was (imo) very slow. Thank you Travelodge Windsor for an enjoyable stay. We will be back..:)
“Good Windsor Visit”
Nice hotel right on Windsor waterfront. Walk to the casino. Very close to Windsor Transit station where you get the bus to Detroit. Reasonably priced, well kept hotel.
“excellent location”
Great location! Quiet, no issues with noise. Front desk was very helpful. Satisfied with free breakfast. My only complaint is this hotel is a little run down. For example I think the bathroom may have flooded which is why the door was swelled in the left corner. Several strips of masking tape was placed over the swelled part of the door, and it was falling off. I think it would have been better to replace the door instead of slapping a few pieces of masking tape on it.
“Rude”
The hotel staff was extremely rude. When I checked in they had my reservation wrong and wanted me to pay for the double queen room that was booked. The telephone was out of service for the entire length of my stay. Both my key and my guests key were deactivated 3 times, and the staff rudely told me they would not make me a new key if it happened again. There is no reason to be rude. I would never recommend staying here. If you have any other option, you would be wise to go elsewhere.
“A Windsor Win!”
Check in/out was helpful and fast. Room was spacious for 2 kids, 2 adults. Beds were comfy, room was clean, glad to have a fridge for juice and snacks. Best part was the complimentary breakfast- toast/bagels, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, apples, cereal, muffins, juice, coffee/tea- best continental comp breakfast!
“Decline in service”
I have stayed at this hotel before, with no complaints. However, I've noticed a steep decline in service. Don't get me wrong - MOST of the staff were friendly and courteous, however, there were others (one superior in particular) that did not seem too concerned with guest satisfaction. I found her, at times to be rude. Also, during my stay, I found that as the number of guests decreased, so did the quality in the complimentary breakfast. My room was comfortable, for the most part - however, there were two major complaints I had. My sink had a leaky pipe and the television reception was not very good. I've enjoyed staying at this hotel previously, and I would not rule out staying there again, but some improvements need to be made.
“Nice river location”
Travelled to Windsor for a concert and stayed at the Travelodge. It was easy to find. The room was clean and the front desk people pleasant. We could walk to the concert from our hotel.
