“good for a quickie”
the hotel was centrally located for our purpose, the pool was clean and the rooms were fine...
“Really comfortable hotel in Troy MI”
The beds in this hotel were very comfortable. The linens were especially nice, including the pillows. The bathroom was well-lit. The tub/shower was roomy with tons of hot water. I was only five minutes from my meeting. I would stay here again for sure.
“might not use again!”
1)don't go to Detroit only once a year 2) no cable available cuz changing servers 3) no complimentary breakfast 4) Breakfast was very expensive and did not tell us we had to pay $11.99 per person for it. Wasn't worth it!! For $11.99 I expected a lot more for the breakfast than eggs, bacon and cold fried potatoes, fruit, oatmeal, toast and milk. Drinks were extra. Was bummed about the cost!! 5) Pool was nice and so was the exercise room-- did not have time to use them though.
“Good Value for a Good Hotel”
This is a former Hilton hotel and I was very pleased with the room and the value I received thru Expedia's preferred rate. My king room was clean and large with a comfy sofa and the bed was very comfortable too. TV was old and the bathroom was small but functional. SMOKING: Michigan has adopted a no-smoking law which bans cigarette smoking from all hotel rooms (boo!) but the Met has balconies so you don't have leave your room for a cigarette -- a very handy and rare feature these days. All in all, I give the experience a 4 out of 5, taking off 1/2 pts for older TV and smaller bathroom.
“Best Hotel in the Area for the Price!”
Overall, my mom and I were very satisfied. Moved away from Troy, Michigan a couple years ago, so we came back to visit, and enjoyed every minute. The hotel location was convenient, right off the freeway, the staff was friendly and cooperative, and the rooms were nice and comfy.
“good value for money”
Overall this was a good hotel for the money if its not to busy, I would stay again but I would ask if there are any events planned for the same weekend.
“It has it's drawbacks”
The room itself was comfortable and adequate. It is located in an office park so staying there on a weekend was very quiet. No traffic to speak of. The parking lot only had one security light which could be a problem if the lot was full. The bathroom was pretty small so if you are traveling with children I would not recommend staying here.
“Above average for the cost”
Room was spacious and decent for the cost. Hotel was very quiet during my stay. Conveniently located near freeway and a few places to eat.
“Is It Really Open?”
A recent stay had me wondering if this place was open. It is a former Hilton that became a Ramada and was recently purchased by a group of investors who are making renovations that are improving the place significantly. However, it was strange rolling into a large complex that had virtually no cars in the parking lot. And, in a large room on the first floor in the wing of the hotel where we were staying, there was an adult day care of some sort. It's nice that the hotel owners have worked with this group - just kind of odd that it was a part of our hotel experience. Overall, the room was quite large, well-appointed and very nice. The location is great and the staff was very accommodating.
“Good quality. Won't leave you broke.”
Hotel is quite beautiful on the outside. The architecture is very unique. Inside isn't quite as impressive, but the rooms are still very nice. Everything was clean and organized. Really, my only complaint was that the shower head was pretty beat-up looking. It could use a replacement. Otherwise, a nice hotel!
