MotorCity Casino Hotel guestrooms feature hand-crafted zebrawood furniture, modeled after Detroit designs from the 1930s. Bathrooms have marble fixtures and offer separate soaking tubs and rain showers; complimentary toiletries are furnished by Molton Brown. Beds come with 300-thread-count linens, and guests can select a pillow from the hotel's pillow library.

“Very Impressed”

The MotorCity Casino Hotel was great! Wonderful hotel! My wife and I had a great experience! We will definitely return and recommend to friends and family. The room was very elegant and the service was first rate. We also enjoyed the restaurants located in the hotel. We didn't even have to leave the building, which was great, as it was cold and snowing.

“Would go back.”

Valet service was very professional and I liked the ticket scan as we were leaving. Check in was about 10 or 15 minutes. There was a line, but the check in person called someone and two other clerks showed up and things moved quickly. Friendly staff. Our room was terrific. The bed was comfortable. There was a large Television. Bathroom was very nice and clean. We were on the 11th floor and had a great view. I liked the dual closets. Plenty of room for your clothing. We just stayed one week day night for my husband's surgery at the V.A. Happy with our experience.

“A very awesome hotel”

We were very pleased with this hotel. The location wasn't the greatest but we had everything in the hotel so there was no need to go elsewhere. The room was great and the bed was so comfortable. We ordered room service for our dinner and it was so very good! The best room service we've ever had! Casino was very fun! We enjoyed the experience very much and would definitely go back.

“No smoking hotel - smoke stack casino”

The hotel was beautiful, clean and five star. The adjoining casino reeked of smoke as soon as you walked in. Can't believe you'd have a non-smoking hotel and a smoking casino.

Area recommendations

Very run down neighbourhood. Not a good area of town to be outside of the hotel in.

“50th Birthday Getaway.......”

I booked a room at the MotorCity Casino for my 50th bday .....love to gamble and people watch......casino gods not that good to me...but the casino and hotel staff were a pleasure...executive room was beautiful and the Butlers Lounge on the 15th floor was a treat!

“Pleasantly surprised”

Loved the room, the convenience, the restaurants and the attentive staff, everyone from the valet, to the head of housekeeping. We forgot a couple items in our room when we left. I called back, not expecting to see them again, but the helpfulness of the housekeeping manager and the honesty of the room attendant made it possible to recover the items. A wonderful experience from check in to check out.

“No Night Life”

We were very disappointed. We really hoped for a place to have drinks and dance the night away. We had a group of us celebrating a birthday and anniversary. We all were shocked when the dealers were complaining about their jobs and just sending off negativity in the air. We would not go back again to Motor City casino.

“First class all the way”

Professional, courteous service from check-in to check-out. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and quiet. There was a large bathroom with a soaking tub, separate shower and quality amenities. I'm a personal trainer, and was able to have a good workout in the fitness center. The business center was also convenient. A small technical issue with the television online menu was resolved in less than 15 minutes. I look forward to visiting again and enjoying the spa. This is a first-class destination hotel in Detroit.
