“A little pricey if you are there to see the Tigers and not for the casino or food.”

“I will go to another hotel in next time”

Good hotel not good service. When I check in (two times) all spend about 30- 45 mins.

“NOT child friendly”

I was there with my 14 year old daughter for a wrestling match at the Joe Louis Arena. My daughter was basically confined to the room. Not permitted to be in any area of the hotel other than the wolfgang puck restaurant. No shops in the hotel. Spa was mediocore.

“A casino with really nice beds”

I've never stayed at a hotel and casino before, so I didn't know how much the casino would dominate our experience. The room was luxurious, but there was no food or drink available without entering the casino, a vast, noisy, and smoky place. We enjoyed a late supper at Wolfgang Puck's, against a background of slot machine sounds, only because we discovered the shortcut through the casino the previous evening after having a mediocre supper out of styrofoam containers at a cafe half way round the casino. There is nothing outside the hotel either within a 30 minute walk. Avoid the MGM Grand unless you simply want a place to sleep between gambling sessions.
