We really enjoyed the amenities of this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. Also, the food was excellent and it is convenient to the peoplemover to get around detroit easily!

Wow! From the moment we pulled up, the service was excellent! The lobby and the rooms were very nice, and the proximity to everything was great! We had a great Sunday brunch at Fishbones! I would definitely stay there again!!

We selected this hotel for its downtown location and proximity to a meeting we had in Detroit. Right from check in to check out, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Staff were polite and helpful, the room was extremely comfortable and well equiped.Good location for a variety of restaurants and bars.

“Gorgeous room in a fun location!”

I stayed at the Atheneum Hotel for my 30th birthday. Every room is a suite which is perfect for a pre-party in Greektown. The living room, bedroom and bathroom are huge! When we arrived, the bellman took us up to the room and asked if we needed a mini fridge for our room. Of course we said yes, and it was delivered up to us about five minutes later. The hotel is also in the heart of Greektown in Detroit which offers a lot of fun options. Delux, Old Shillelagh, Greektown Casino, Niki's, Fishbones, etc...

“Great Place to stay for a concert or a ballgame !!”

We booked this hotel for the Eminim / Jay - Z show and Comerica Park . it was a very nice and clean place to stay . and the location could not have been any better it's only about 4 or 5 blocks from Comerica park and Ford Field the only negative in the whole stay was the 20 dollar parking fee other than that everything was great and we hard a great time would definitely stay there again for another event downtown

“great location, great staff, great hotel”

this hotel was great, the staff was fabulous especially the bell staff, curtis and tony tone. the shuttle took us to and picked us up from dinner, then an hour later did the same for a concert... the rooms are big and nice. the rooms are a little bit loud as far as hall and other room noise, but nothing crazy, plus i am a good sleeper so it did not bother me at all. i will not stay at another hotel again in detroit, for the price i think it is the best one in detroit.

“Downtown Detroit's Diamond”

The Atheneum is truly one of Detroit's Downtown Diamonds. The location is perfect. The rooms are very well decorated with roomy floorplans. The added luxury almost makes you want to stay indoors but there are so many things to do within walking distance that it's difficult to fit everything in!

“Detroit's Hotel "Gem"!!”

The Atheneum Hotel is one of the best in Detroit for your money. It is situated around the corner from Greektown/Greektown Casino (walking distance). When you walk into the lobby, the Greek themed decor is very inviting and warm with large beautiful pictures and greenery. I absolutely love the rooms...they are all suites with a nice "sitting room" as you walk in with a good size flat screen tv that you can close off to the sleeping area which is 4 steps down with another good size flat screen tv. The bathroom is large with lots of counter space and a nice size tub/shower. This hotel has become my favorite in downtown Detroit...I love it!!
