At first glance the hotel left us wondering about our decision to stay here. But when we got to the room it was a pleasant surprise. Air worked great, smelled great, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was nice and had hot food.
We stayed at the White Sands for 1 week Monday thru Friday. I was with my husband and two children ages 8 and 6. Overall, the hotel was good for the value. We did not deal with the staff as we were only in the hotel to sleep and/or change clothes. We were out and about discovering Destin! The hotel had breakfast every morning...and it was good! They had eggs, sausage or bacon, coffee, fruit, bread and toaster, a waffle machine for you to make your own waffles, cereal, yogurt....and it was all FREE!!! It saved us money on having to buy breakfast every morning! Our beds were made daily and the trash from our room was taken out daily. We also had clean towels in our hotel bathroom daily. We did not check out the pool as we were more interested in enjoying the beautiful beach, I would definitely return and/or recommend this hotel to anyone!
We upgraded our room from Cityside to Waterside. Well worth the upgrade. The bay was beautiful and our room overlooked the pool so we could keep an eye on teenagers below. Beach at hotel was a little small, but it was a nice added feature regardless. Staff was great. They gave good advice on how to best get to beach and good places to eat. No complaints at all. Room was clean but a little outdated. No smoking was a big plus. Bathroom was small, but again, no complaints.

Stayed here when pipe broke in out house and we had to move out while being repaired. This hotel has been renovated recently or at least looks it. It has a nice pool, not huge, but enough to keep my 8 year buys. The room cleaning was excellent. The bathroom area is not spacious, but compact and efficient. The bed coverings were simple and clean, looking new. The WIFI was not outstanding but if was functional.
The employees were great. Problem with TV. It was replaced !
The breakfast was great every day.
My only complaint is the very small pool. There were lots of people there and the pool was way too small for this hotel. "To the beach"
The maintainence man,CHRIS, was absolutely wonderful, professional, & kind. Our room was very nice.
