A room with a view is guaranteed at the Shady Oak. Because we only have three comfortable guest rooms in total, you are also guaranteed peace and quiet in a friendly intimate atmosphere.

“Comfortable and ideal as a base for walking”
I was doing some walking and attending an event near Buxton. This turned out to be an excellent location for both. The room was comfortable - especially the bed - with a well appointed bathroom - both of which you need after a day's walking. The evening meal that I had in the bar was delicious. I would happily return.
“A place to remember in the Peak District.”
We liked the location and not far from Buxton for the festival was a bonus. Breakfast was a bit expensive but we had a very good choice of food. Comfortable room indeed.
