“Great location, good service”
Needed a hotel in a central location and this was the perfect choice. Great value for money, helped by an Expedia deal, good service, quirky (in a good way) building, an atmosphere that hadn't been tweaked using focus groups, and close to where I needed to be. Street outside is a bit depressing but, honestly, how much time does one spend in the street?
“Lovely boutique hotel”
Really nice hotel, lots of original features but sympathetically modernised. The whole hotel was really clean and the staff friendly. Our room was very small (bathroom was minuscule) but fine for our one night stay and it felt like a bargain with an excellent cooked breakfast in a really stunning restaurant included. If you need to be in the centre of Derby this is the hotel for you. Park in 'the worlds safest car park' in Jury street and get a discount voucher from the hotel.

The Cathedral Quarter Hotel in the centre of Derby is a little piece of quality hidden away, but within walking distance of the centre of town. The hotel has a nice frontage and all the feeling of a really nice boutique hotel. I wish I had booked a larger room, but it was very nice. The breakfast was too very nice with a good choice of food in a lovely dining room. Yes, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a bit nicer place than a budget type hotel.. It is easy to find with good signs to the Cathedral Quarter and has space for parking at the side of the hotel... It might slightly cost more than a travelodge type place but its very nice and worth it.
“Nice old hotel in centre of Derby”
The hotel was nice and comfortable. Didn't fancy the food menu and so went out for dinner and found a lovely old pub round the corner. The reception staff were very helpful but they couldn't find my booking when I checked in and I didn't get a early morning call that I asked for. Luckily I put my alarm on my phone otherwise I would have been late for an important meeting. Overall I enjoyed my stay but was given a disabled room and there was little choice of channels on TV. Very little parking
“Great for city centre convenience”
Old buiding with a bit of character, conveniantly located for city centre. We had room 1 on ground floor, close to reception. Small room with no view to speak of, but OK for a short one night stay. Room otherwise quite adequate and nicely furnished. Staff very freindly and helpful. Architecturally impressive breakfast room / restaurant. There are about 6 off road free parking spaces at front of hotel. Otherwise, be prepared to park in public multi-storey a very shot walk down the road.

“uitstekende keuze”
Toevallige keuze voor dit hotel gemaakt, maar zeker aangenaam verrast. Uitstekend gerenoveerd met moderne materialen met behoud van het karakter van dit oude statige gebouw. Zeer vriendelijke bediening, van receptie to restaurant, bar en ontbijtservice. Zal zeker terugkomen.
