“Good spot”

Only complaint is that the valet service was very expensive, other than that great place to stay.

“Not so grand”

I have to say the stay was not so pleasant for the following reasons. 1) The Grand Hyatt hotel do not offer free wi-fi internet. They want to charge a $9.95/day fee to use their internet service. They only offer free internet in the lobby or the lounge areas. So if you want to work in your room you have to pay for the internet. I've never stayed at a hotel or motel that didn't offer free wi-fi internet. I was completely shocked! 2) They do not offer free breakfast. Personally, I don't care much for breakfast but at least they should have offered free breakfast. I've stayed at 1 star hotels and they offrered free breakfast. The Grand Hyatt offer room served breakfast menu with hefty prices. 3) The Grand Hyatt charges $28/day for car valet services. There was no free parking. Once again, I rarely had to pay for parking at hotels I stayed before so this was shocking! They should have offered both valet service and free self parking. 4) The TV was fuzzy. I didn't really watch much TV but I would expect at least HD quality TV channels when I want to watch some shows. There were other minor issues that the hotel did fixed but they did contribute to my stay dissatisfaction. My room bath tub was clogging with standing water, there were no hair dryer, and there were not enough bath towels. The bottom line...the Grand Hyatt is not really grand with their services. They nit pick and want guests to pay for everything. I would not stay there again.

Area recommendations
Downtown Denver and the Convention Center. These are great areas as they are so close to shopping center, government buildings, and museums.

“Great for the money”

Clean, friendly staff. No concierge or cut back hours due to the recession :(

“not up to par for a "Hyatt"”

The only good thing about this hotel was that we got a good deal. we soon found out why it was so cheap. the bathroom smelled like paint and gave me a headache. The tub didn't drain when I showered so I was standing in a puddle of water. the view was of other buildings and a parking lot. The pool was freezing and the hot tub looked dirty. on top of that, you could hear literally everything outside the door. all the loud people and screaming children walking past the room basically kept us up all night. and we weren't thrilled to have to pay for overnight parking. I expected way better from the Hyatt.

“Perfect”

“Great hotel for downtown Denver”

We had a most comfortable, large, king sized bed room. Everything was very satisfactory.
