“Staff is great. A little confusing to get to.”

The hotel is nice and the staff is very professional and friendly. The entrance wasn't marked very well so we had to back track a little.

“Great people!”

It's not the newest hotel, but it is well maintained. The convention center is large and it was busy during my stay. If you're there for personal reasons and not there for a convention then it feels kind of strange. The standout for me was the hotel staff, particularly the desk staff, very friendly and helpful. Always got a plesant hello. This is a common trait of Marriott properties.

“Not impressed”

The first thing I saw was long black hair on the bathroom floor that I had to clean up myself, There was no shuttle service from the airport -offered by the hotel to take us directly there. With an airport miles away, it would have been a nice convenience. There were no conveniences within walking distance of the hotel. The outdoor pool was not a clean area and extremely noisy from nearby traffic.

“Pleasant and quiet”

Stayed at the hotel while attending a sci-fi convention. Staff very tolerant, and room very well insulated from sound. The hotel could stand to have more parking, though.

“AL april visit, parking”

Everything was great except this new parking fee that was added to my bill. On previous stays this was not incorporated. It was not very professional or nice that I was not informed of this before hand. Plus, I think that this is a way to nickel and dime the guest.

“Great Hotel/ Conference Facility”

The Marriott Denver Tech is a great facility for a larger conference. Although an older hotet, it has been renovated over the years to provide all of the expected on premise ammenities. The quality of the food and the service at lunch for a large group (1000+) is outstanding. The location is convenient to the Denver light rail system to allow easy travel to other parts of town. Definately recommend the hotel for both business and personal travel.

Area recommendations
If you are visiting Denver for the first time, a trip to the Lower Downtown (LoDo) district is well worth the effort; great dining, shops and Coors Field the home of the NL Colorado Rockies. There is a light rail stop a short walk from the Marriott DTC that will take you downtown.
Getting there
For business travelers, a the shuttle from the airport is the easiest way to get to the Marriott DTC without the hassle of renting a car. Once at the hotle, the light rail system in Denver allows travel to many areas in town.

“Easy access, clean and comfortable”

Just two blocks from the freeway, Marriott Denver Tech gave us quick and responsive service. Room was comfortable and decent size. One lack was the absence of towel racks. They post the altitude at each elevator, over a mile high!

We wish more hotels in south Denver participated in Expedia, etc.
Shopping
South on I-25 is a prime Denver mall called Park Meadows, surrounded by several fine restaurants as well, with other shopping venues across the street, including the Rack and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Dining
About three stops south on I-25 is Maggiano's Little Italy for great Italian family dining.

“My worst Halloween night”

It was big party in this hotel on Halloween night. From midnight till 4:00AM partygoers were shouting in the hallways, drinking and slamming doors.We were told by the administration that other guests were transfered to another tower, but we booked our reservation through Expedia, so nobody was responsible for our inconvenience.
