" Superb holiday Location"
Spent Saturday and Easter Sunday at Western Woods. Beautiful location a bit wasted on bland interiors. The hotel is surprisingly good in places with variation in room conditions and a fine spa pool facility. The main problem is in order to facilitate the majority of young family clientele the hotel has given in to a holiday camp atmosphere. Visible attempts at stylish décor and furnishings in foyer, restaurant and entrance areas are negated by vast pack them in spacing, especially in the bar/lounge area. The biggest failure is the prevailing odour of stale carpet with ominous smells of spillages and toddler "leakages". The large lounge and restaurant with no partitions or imaginative layout reminds one of budget airline terminals. Criticisms aside the staff are decent and helpful and the back bedrooms fine apart from the too hot tap.

"good location,lots on the doorstep"
Friendly staff on arrival with help and advice. Location is in the heart of this lovely small town. Room was big and clean with a very comfortable bed. A big bathroom too. Wifi was a bit patchy..maybe better in the lobby area. Breakfast was very good and the staff there were particularly helpful and friendly. Will stay again.

"Amazing"
We had such a good time here, the location is excellent, there is a lake a walk of 3min in front of the hotel. It has fireplaces in the front room with board games and original furniture, enjoyed every minute of our stay, the food is so good it worth coming for it on its own. If you are looking for a place on this part of Ireland look no more. Its amazing!

"Blustery days, Great stay"
Renvyle House is a beautifully situated and historic country inn. The owners have preserved much memorabilia from its early days as a home of a noted Irish writer and surgeon. The food in the dining rooms is excellent quality and well prepared and served. The waitstaff is international and works hard to please. The surrounding countryside is rugged and beautiful. Our room was spacious and well furnished. Special recognition for the upstairs library, the house bar/pub, and the turf fires on either end of the adjacent lobby area. As a special treat, local performers put on a play in the library one evening about Sligo native William Butler Yeats and the women in his life.

"Luxury Hotel, with a pub as well."
Ballynahinch is a luxury hotel with all the trimmings, and it has a pub built in that extends the ability to enjoy your self. The staff are spot on and the rooms (we had a superior deluxe) are all you could ask for. The hotel is set in a outstanding setting next to the river and it is so beautiful. Our meal was a culinary delight, served by European staff who really know service. I would definitely return if we come to Ireland again and recommend it to others.

    Pocket Guide: Delphi

    Hotels@Delphi

Surrounded by stunning scenery, with ample opportunity to explore mountains, valleys and rivers, Delphi has something to offer everyone. There is a wide range of accommodation available to suit any price range, with many hotels also offering a fantastic selection of sports and adventure activities, including kayaking, cycling, rock climbing and guided hikes.

    The Best Hotels for Hiking

Here you can stay in a traditional country lodge near the foot of the Mweelrea Mountain, the highest point in County Mayo, for a challenging hike, surrounded by incredible natural beauty. From the summit of Mweelrea, there are stunning views of Killary Harbour, Ireland’s only true Fjord, and Doolough Pass, a glaciated valley that has often been described as “the gem of County Mayo” due to the dramatic contrast between mountains, gorges and crystal waters.

For a slightly easier climb, stay in a bed and breakfast near Ben Gorm and Ben Craggan, which overlook the Delphi Valley. There are many hiking trails to explore here, many of which are also suitable if travelling with the whole family.

Delphi is just 8 miles from Connemara National Park, which has many hiking routes of varying difficulty, offering the opportunity to see a wide variety of bird life, such as peregrine falcons and kestrels. You can stay at one of the many lodge hotels or bed and breakfasts on the border of Delphi, near the N59, to be closer to the park.

    The Best Hotels for Relaxing

Delphi has something for everyone. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay, there are several spa hotels on the bank of the Bundorragha River, combining luxurious treatments with tranquil natural beauty. Why not have the best of both worlds and spend one day kayaking down the river and the next relaxing in a cosy, country lodge with views over the mountains and Killary Fjord?

The hoteliers of Delphi are well equipped to deal with any whim you may have, and many hotels offer packages combining the very best experiences the area has to offer.

    Hotels in Delphi for Families

Delphi is great place to visit with the whole family. With so many opportunities for adventure and excitement, the kids will be entertained for the whole trip. If you’re looking for something a bit more, there are also several resorts that offer activities and programmes for your children. This will allow you to relax, or have your own wild fun, knowing your kids are in safe hands.

Where Will You Stay in Delphi?

The adventure hub of Ireland offers you a really wide choice of hotels, hostels, bed and breakfasts and cosy country lodges: why not explore your options, and find a great deal, with Expedia?
