“Nice enough hotel, but miles from anywhere!”
Reasonably new hotel hampered by being miles from rail head and airport in a residential suburb of Delhi. Staff tries hard but stairs are hard to manage with full luggage and no wet bar. Still if you are on the way to Agra, you have already begun the journey from there by car. If going by rail, then leave 45 mins before train departs and Delhi station is complicated and busy.
“Not impressed and far away from Central Delhi”
The hotel was decent. Nothing fantastic, though it served its purpose of a clean bed and bathroom for the nights we needed. I thought the price was high for the room, though that seems to be the case in Delhi. The staff were not as helpful as they could be. There was a problem with the wireless, which was one of the reasons we booked this particular hotel, and the staff kept trying to say it was our laptop. Having used the laptop in coffee shops and other hotels without any issues, we could only see the fault in the hotel system. After a day, the staff reluctantly agreed to reboot the routers, and lo an behold the wireless worked (for about 4 hours). The hotel did have an excellent breakfast buffet, as long as you got there when it opened. The food was very tasty. If you arrive late to breakfast, I'd recommend not eating, as the area is dirty and the food is not well covered.
“was ok”
as a last minute booking it was more than we hoped for. But on exploring the area we found it was a very expensive compared to others of the same standard and above. The breakfast buffet was something to be desired, well if you could call it a buffet. The room was clean and really more than we expected for 3 stars in Delhi, and the staff were helpful. But if you want your luggage stored after check-out be prepared to pay for it !!!
“velvet apple hotel”
Great comfortable hotel. All the amenities. Internet is a bit slow, but it works. Watch your fridge bill, they tried to charge us for water...
“Very nice hotel”
Very nice hotel located in a quiet area of Delhi, not too far from central attractions. Great service and prices. Clean, comfortable rooms. Once the metro opens, this hotel will be even more ideal.
“Great hotel in Delhi perfect for both business and leisure travel”
We spent 1 night at this great new hotel in a convenient part of Delhi. We were close to many of the shopping areas and restaurants, but not in the middle of it all. The staff was very helpful and was able to customize things like meals to our needs. We were traveling with our 18 month old and had some special requests in terms of the food and food preparation, and they were very accommodating. The staff also got to know us during our stay, giving us a nice feeling of coming 'home' after a busy day. Rooms had tasteful decorations and all the amenities we needed - small fridge, flat panel HD TV, very clean rooms and bathrooms. We also looked at a couple of other rooms, and they all had unique decoration styles - very cool. The local park across the street was nice to get out for a bit (though in the summer heat, you may not feel like taking much of a walk). The park doesn't attract many tourists, so you will get to see people who live in the area. The hotel is close to downtown areas like Connaught Place and attracts business travelers as well (based on who else we saw while we were there). It's a great lower cost option than the expensive and impersonal hotel chains.
“Nice Stay”
This new hotel offers a comfortable and plasant stay in New Delhi. The hotel is in a posh area, GK-I. M-block market is a walking distance! The staff in the hotel are young and energetic, and very helpful. Room service and food are good! I will stay again and again :) Internet is fast!
“throughly impressed with the meticulous attention to detail”
I travel 120 days a year. Have experienced some of the best, but what impressed me here was ameneties I usually see in 5 Star properties at 3 star prices in a major metropolitan city. Luxurious pillow's (I offered to buy one), lush Towels, speacially roomy marbled shower area, 110 and 220 volts in wall outlets, newspaper packaged in a bag. The staff bent over backwards (they even sent a person out to buy a CD player). Finally, I did not even have to "steal" the usual laundry bag for packing my shoes, they had a complementary Shoe bag!! Great Value for money, highly recommended.
“Poor Hotel”
This hotel has only been open for 3 months and work is still ongoing-although not in an intrusive manner, it's not a hotel I would return to.There is no hot water on 'tap' instead one needs to put on the 'geyster'-some type of water heater for at least 1hr and then you can have 25 ltrs of hot water, before the water turns cold [ie thats a 5 minute shower]! Don't believe the management when they tell you that this is common practice of boutique hotels-its not! There is no restaurant at the hotel, instead you take all meals in the bedroom including breakfast. The rooms are not designed to take meals in them, ie a lack of appropriate furnishings. Further not all meals are available despite being on the menu, I was told my choice of breakfast was not available- despite being on the menu as it would take too long to prepare!I also found that simple requests made over the phone eg for room service resulted in staff just coming to the room and taking the orders and still getting them wrong.Notably the language wasn't a barrier as we were able to converse in both English and Hindi. The rooms are not sound proof and you are woken by the activities in the corridors. My room also had some sort of 'pigeon' nest/infestation and there was constant whirring-not great. The staff are young and pleasant and try to be helpful. Perhaps in time the hotel will improve.
