“The Claridges is Lovely”

So lovely in fact that we booked it for our return trip whilst we were there. Make sure you get a room with a view or around the pool. Rooms are small but well kept and beautifully equipped. Staff picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and were helpful and friendly. It would definitely be my first choice when I go back to Delhi again.

“Hope to be back next year with other younger members of our family”

Claridges have the most amazing staff. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms very comfortable lots of nice little touches. Wonderful to go back to after hectic, very hot days. We were sorry we didn't have the time to use all the wonderful facilities available at the Hotel.

“Super staff eager to please”

This is a lovely hotel, well deserving of it's 5 star status. From the moment of my arrival, I was very impressed by the security employed at the perimeter gate. This immediately filled me with a sense of reassurance. The staff are the hotels's best asset; they are extremely polite, courteous and very helpful. Facilities are good: a decent swimming pool, four restaurants, pleasant garden, good health club and nice lounge. The only thing that some visitors may not like is it's location within the heart of the 'embassy belt'. This meant that all the restaurants were a taxi ride away (although this isn't expensive). However, the upside is that the location is quiet and leafy. The hotel guests were mainly business people and couples, whereas I had small children and seemed to be an exception. The rooms were of a decent size and well equipped with LCD TV, room safe, terrace, free bottled water and free daily newspaper. The selection of the breakfast buffet was decent but could have done with some variation. Overall, my family and I were impressed by the hotel and would recommend it to anyone staying in Delhi.

“A very satisfying experience indeed.”

Particularly impressed by the politeness and courtesy of staff. Also the facilities are good. Pity there are charges for use of internet. In this day and age and given the five star status of the hotel this facility should be free. The cuisine and service in the Jade were very good but cannot say the same about Dhaba. The standards there have fallen and the menu is very pricy too.

“Relaxing stay”

The Claridges Hotel is a haven in a very busy bustling city which many Europeans will find strange. We had a relaxing stay and were able to retreat to the peace of the Hotel. The choice of several excellent restaurants meant that we were able choose different types of food without having to go out in the evenings. We would go back again.

“Would go there again”

Was definitely worth staying here if you get a good rate. The hotel staff was very pleasant and the room was very clean. Got an upgrade, probably because it was off season. Though I would ask for a room facing the inner court yard if you are a light sleeper. Easy to get a taxi to all the places I wanted to see from here, and the prepaid taxi from airport to this hotel is the way to arrive your first day.

“Always a wonderful experience at Claridges”

This is our third stay in the last 5 years, and it is our favorite hotel in north India. Lovely ambiance, great service, beautiful rooms. Well located near Khan Market and Lodhi Gardens. Much nicer than being in the busy Connaught Circus area. Great respite from the hub-bub of India.

“Understated Elegance”

This hotel is not cheap but worth every penny apart from £8 for 2 teas. It has an understated elegance that many hotel strive to achieve but fail. I would certainly return to Claridges but make my own tea!

“One reason for our great vacation in Delhi”

We stayed at The Claridges for nine nights. We got a good rate through Expedia. Upon check in, we were upgraded from the standard room to the far more spacious Claridges room. Throughout our stay, the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, including many of the staff calling us by name. Breakfast was included in our room rate, and the breakfast was extensive with both hot and cold dishes and egg dishes cooked to order. We tried all four restaurants, and they were all equally good both in terms of food and service. This is a pretty luxurious hotel overall, and this is reflected in the prices at the hotel. However, the pleasantness of our stay in India was in large measure because we had such a good hotel to return to each day.
