“First time in Delhi”
My overall thought on this place is not very good. The hotel is very nice but I wasn't satisfied with the service. I felt like it wasn't worth the money I spend. Maybe I'm use to good service if I'm paying top dollar but that's what is expected in a 5 star hotel right?. I wouldn't stay there again. There are so many other nice places.
“Not 5-star services, Disco ahead of hotel guests”
We had reserved an executive suite. Upon arrival at 9:30pm (late flight), we requested an extra bed for a very tired child; we did not get it until we requested a manager at our third phone call at 11:30pm. There is a disco on the ground floor. We could hear the music 6 floors up. When we complained, we were told the disco had priority. Eventually, we requested the manager visit our room. Once he realized the noise issue he apologized and got the disco to turn the bass sound down, by then it was 1:30am. Two of the four nights, they forgot to do turn-down service on our room..... I'll stop there. We were offered the extra bed and a driver for one afternoon for free. It would have preferred to pay full price and not have all the annoyances. We had apologies every day but there were new issues every day! Do not got there for 5-star service! The exercise room and the lockers-showers-spa are great (sauna, steam, refrigerated shower, jacuzzi,...). We enjoyed the hotel's restaurants.
“I will never stay here again”
Firstly, let me explain that we visited this hotel on our honeymoon and the room was booked by a relative as a gift. Initially we were impressed by the hotel's lobby. Everything was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The trouble started at check-in. We requested a non-smoking room they told us the only available room was on a smoking floor. We were put right next the elevator. When we got to the room it was very small. I was quite surprised at the size based on how expensive the nightly rate was. After about 15 minutes in the room we started hearing a loud buzzing noise. We complained 2 about this over the course of our 2 night stay though it was never resolved. When we attempted to contact our family is the US we found that our phone didn't work. Everytime we needed to make a call we had to call the front desk and have them connect the call. The worst came when my wife decided to take a shower only to find that we had no cold water. Not in the sink. Not in the shower. We had to wait two hours until this was fixed. Overall this was the most disappointing hotel experience we have ever had. And at a supposedly 5 star hotel? This hotel may put on the appearance but the quality is definitely not there!
