“Hotel le Roi”

A very convenient station for New Delhi Station. In a rather down-at-heel looking road, but then this is India. Great service, a lovely room with brand new furnishings and all for a really good price - vastly better than the place I stayed in when first arrived in Delhi (which was booked for me by a tour group) which was about 4 times as expensive. Would stay here again.

Located off the beaten path, the surrounding neighborhood is not for the feint hearted. But then again, neither are many parts of Delhi, or Delhi at all, for that matter. Located in Pahar Ganj, the main bazaar street fascinates those architecturally inclined as well as those with a mind for bargains. While its proximity to the two metro stops is appealing, the trek from the train station is not an easy one with luggage, so be sure to hire an overpriced cab or auto rickshaw. The texture of the neighborhood itself is fascinating, and while on the surface, it may seem run down, as a female traveling solo, I felt perfectly comfortable on my own. The hotel itself was well maintained (some corridor carpets could be replaced), the showers/bath in excellent condition, and the bed very comfortable; the street noise from my room was not an issue. Most importantly, the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

“Great Hotel”

The Hotel Le Roi is a great little place, although it is only a 3 star hotel they do their best to give you a 5 star service. The surrounding area takes a little getting used to, but once you do it adds to the whole experience of India. I Would recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to be at the heart of it all but also likes a bit more comfort during their stay.

“Panah Ganj Le Roi”

We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff on arrival. When you walk through the door it is a little like walking into another world, the streets are hectic and mad outside but there is a serenity in the hotel. After spending 2 weeks in fairly basic accommodation this was a welcome break. The accommodation was clean, we had hot running water 24 hours and the beds felt like pure luxury. Breakfast was good but the menu generally was a bit average and so we tended to eat in the main street. If you are looking for accommodation that screams you are in India this is not the place but if you have already been there and need a break this is a great pit stop between accommodations.

“Beautiful hotel and can't wait to go back.”

We visited Delhi on the way to Punjab and we stayed here for 5 days. we were very impressed with this hotel. Particularly staff at reception is really very good. The location is bit busy but its really safe area. close to metro station and local shops. we will go back again. After a long day definately we need very comfortable place to stay. I will say this is very luxury and comfortable place to stay.

“Awesome hotel in the gritty heart of New Delhi”

The street the hotel is on is crazy busy and not really pretty but it was cool to be part of the masses when visiting New Delhi. The hotel was an amazing escape from the craziness of the streets. It was close to Connaught Place. Best hotel we stayed at in India.

“ahoy Le Roi”

Great hotel. Clean and modern. If you are arriving late the taxi driver will try to scare you off the location - and if you are seeing the streets late it can be a little daunting - but keep on as Le Roi was the nicest hotel we stayed at in our 2 week trip. Staff are friendly and helpful. Some rooms are bigger than others.

“Brilliant Hotel”

The Hotel Le Roi is situated in Pahar Ganj, about 10 minutes walk from the main Delhi Train Station and about 300 ruppees in a taxi from the airport. The street is in the heart of the bustling area where you will find restaurants, bars, and a shop for just about everything. Do not be put off by the locale, at first view you might be shocked and possibly even a little bit scared, I was, but appearances are deceptive, this is a friendly part of town Delhi at it's best!!! With lots of things going on but the main thing to remember is that it is is safe. Yes you will get hassled by hawkers, and market stalls but it is all part of the atmosphere. the hotel Le Roi is like an oasis of calm in the middle of the madness, it is very clean, breakfast is nice and the rooms have secure electronic safes, flat screen tv's and hot water. A total bargain for the price - an absolute gem. Would definitely stay here again, in fact we did. There is a nice bar/restaurant near by and rickshaws are in good supply to take you around the city!

“An oasis; great hotel in the midst of chaotic Delhi”

Hotel Le Roi was recommended by a friend and it not only lived up to our expectations, it exceeded them. The staff and their customer service was amazing. So friendly and accommodating. The room was sparkling, extremely comfortable and the free wifi was a winner. One night, rained in, we decided to eat in the hotel dining room. The food was delicious, the service fantastic. The staff were full of smiles and even helped us learn a little Hindi! As first-time travellers to India, this was the perfect oasis to acclimatise ourselves to the crazy city that is Delhi. Couldn't recommend Hotel Le Roi highly enough.

“An oasis in all the chaos”

Stayed here for 5 nights and don't think you'd find a better hotel for the cost. Good facilities, very clean, helpful staff. Highly recommended.
