Very pleased we booked this hotel. Friendly, modern and clean, conveniently located. I gave 'comfort of your room' a 4 rather than a 5 only because the bed (2 singles linked) had 2 single mattress savers beneath the sheet which scrunched up overnight. Should have been 1 double. However, I just removed the mattress saver on the second night. Would stay there again especially as the room had a tiny kitchen with table and chairs so you can self cater the odd meal. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
We stayed in Deauville for 7 days. L'Augeval was just perfect. It overlooks the racecourse stables so couldn't be easier for a day at the races. It is also a short walk from the beach,the casino and town centre. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool which we used every day it was so pleasant.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
We had breakfast in the hotel every morning after trying it on the first day. They have everything anybody could want.

We have stayed in this hotel many times. Each time we are very pleased with the level of high standard it exhibited. From the full valet parking ,efficient friendly check in with upgrade to beautiful sea view room, we are very pleased. This time we were upgraded again and surprisingly, the same room we have during Easter holiday. We are thrilled.
The gourmet restaurant was always high standard and the price was reasonable.
Pierre , manager at the restaurant was exceptional helpful.
Managed to have some tan top up and a swim at the heated pool.

This is not actually a hotel. It is a "residence" consisting of appartments, which are suitable for families of up to 4, who are on holiday, and who would prefer to self-cater rather than pay the high prices charged by restaurants in Deauville. As such, the rooms have a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and regrigerator. However, I would have difficulty using these kitchens, because there is a shortage of workspace for preparing food, and I firmly believe that lack of workspace in a kitchen is a major risk factor for kitchen accidents, which can be very nasty. For a business person who wants to set up a computer and printer, the positioning of electricity sockets is not convenient. However, my main problem with this "hotel", was that after the first night, I was bumped to a different roon, on the pretext that the room I was in, was needed for a disabled person. The receptionist accused Expedia of failing to pass on my reservation in good time for my arrival. I do not believe this claim, because I do not believe I would have been admitted, if they had not received my reservation. It subsequently transpired that the receptionist was under the impression that I was in a different room (despite the fact that I clearly told her which room I was in). Therefore it would appear that I was disturbed un-necessarilly. One of the worst things that a hotel can do to a client, is to require the guest to change rooms (for any reason at all), AFTER he has unpacked..
