“Nice location, good value”

The hotel staff was friendly, and housekeeping came every morning around the same time which was nice as you could plan on it. The location is nice as it's just a little south of the busy main strip but not too far away from it when you want to go do something. There's a grocery store and an IHOP across the street, very convenient. It would be nice if they had a restaurant on site, as the coffee and donuts are a nice option but not enough if you want a good breakfast. There are many restaurants in the area though that aren't too far away. The beach was amazing, but the pool was a little too cold for us as it's not heated, also it needed to be cleaned. They need to get different poolside chairs because the ones they have are too hard and uncomfortable to sit in, and some were even broken. Cushions would make the difference! The indoor pool was awesome though. Their tiki bar was okay, but a little expensive and depending on the bartender, the drink prices were never the same. I have to say though for the money it was a very good value and we'd probably definitely return if we ever go back to the Daytona area just because of the location. Also the view of the ocean from our room was great. A few more positives: Beds were comfortable, the A/C was quiet and the bathrooms were clean and the shower worked great.

“Daytona's Comfy Little Secret”

Perry's may not be the poshest hotel on Florida's east coast, but what it lacks in modern amenities and shiny new fixtures it more than makes up for in cheerful, eager service and a great price. My partner and I were so dismayed over the hot tub being closed for maintenance during our stay, and when the management found out, they upgraded us to a room with a private hot tub free of charge! The overall experience is more cozy, like visiting a family member, rather than the sterile and inhuman approach of most modern hotels. Two big thumbs up, especially if you're playing a long stay in Daytona and want a place that feels homey.

“Fun at Perry's Ocean-Edge Resort”

I just wanted to have a few days at the beach. Price was reasonable. It was a little cold and rainy some of the days I was there in which I made good use of the indoor heat pool. The room was very bright, large, and included a full kitchen. The room was very clean and fun how they made the towels in the different shapes. Most hotels just roll or stack the towels. The fresh donuts were nice. I was a little disappointed that the hot tub was closed for about two days of my stay, that they don't have an outdoor hot tub, and the limited parking could be an issue. I would recommend the place and look forward to staying there again!

“Great choice - Budget Price, High Quality, Three Pools and Oceanfront!”

August 2010. I have stayed at many Daytona Beach hotels over the past five years, visiting relatives in the area. Perry's Ocean-Edge gets a "thumbs up" for a very high value to price ratio. In fact, I prefer it to fancier Five Star locations that charge four times as much for similar rooms and amenities. You get a lot for your money at Perry's. Three pools, two outside and one indoors, all sparkling clean and fresh. Great oceanfront location. Rooms are in three connected buildings. Mine was in the older central two-story atrium overlooking the indoor pool. Large room, immaculately clean, freshly painted, new carpeting and bed linens. Galley kitchen in the room to make breakfast. Great shower. Peeked in other rooms throughout the property and all looked to be similarly well maintained. Maid service was excellent. Quiet. The pools close at 10 PM, and staff checks to make sure no one is splashing about and partying later than that. Convenient location near shopping (grocer, beach shop, post office, pharmacy all walking distance) Pancake House across the street. Clients at this hotel are mostly nice families and couples, only a few singles.

“Nice Hotel”

I was in Daytona Beach during September, and it was quite empty. That was fine, but it seemed to lack any liveliness. The buildings have very little imaginative architecture, the restaurants are for the most part ordinary. Can't imagine what the attraction is. My biggest dissapointment was the ocean. The water is dirty. It's a brown color, and has a detergent-like foam on the surface. Sad; very sad. I looked at the more upscale hotels, but they had no charm. I stayed at Perry's, and was very satisfied. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and all overlook the ocean. If I have to visit Daytona Beach again, I will stay at Perry's. It's good value for the money.

“Best Family place on the Beach”

This is my favorite Daytona Beach hotel. I've stayed here twice, and it will be my first choice when I return. I visit the Daytona area several times a year, and have stayed at half a dozen beach hotels, ranging from the 4 to 5 Star "big names" like the Hilton, Westin, and Shores Resort, to more modest 2 Star "mom & pop" family run places and privately owned condominium units. Perry's fits into the "mom and pop" category as it is a family owned business, not part of a national chain. The rooms are located in two newer "towers" joined by an older two-story "atrium" section centered on the indoor pool and hot tub. The rooms are a nice size, and include a fully equipped kitchenette. They are well clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds, and a couch with pull-out sleeper. Carpets, draperies, and bed covers are all fresh. Nothing glitzy or fancy, but comfortable and tastefully furnished. The property has three pools, one indoor and two outside facing the beach. They have nice grassy areas around the outdoor pools, shuffle board, and a little tiki-bar. No restaurant on premises, but they do offer complimentary coffee and donuts in the morning, and International House of Pancakes is just across the street. There's also a supermarket across Atlantic Avenue to stock your fridge for an in-room breakfast or snack. The pools close at 10:00 PM and with no bar or party scene, it's calm and quiet for a good night's sleep

“Very Good Hotel, will return again”

This an excellant hotel which has everything you need to have a good stay. It is close to just about all the shopping and activities in Daytona. The staff is excellant and look after your needs in a professional manner. I would recommend this hotel to any one.

“100% clean room”

This is a good hotel. Is not luxurious, but has way more amenities that some 3 and 4 stars lack. The cleanliness of the room was 100% excellent!. Is not a new construction or newly remodeled, but the layout of the room is spacious, the kitchenette very helpful and clean and the decoration was normal nice. My only complain was the cleaning lady knocking on my door at 9 am, even after I put the DO NOT DISTURB card at the door, plus a bad attitude after I said we are not leaving early, need some sleep. Front desk ladies were very friendly and patient. I recommend this hotel!
