“Works in a Pinch”

Location is great as far as being close to the beach and boardwalk. Condition of room left something to be desired. No lock on the sliding glass door, just a metal rod holding it shut. That was a little scary. No cold water in the shower. My skin almost melted off although they did send someone to fix it right after we called. Pool area was nice enough. Get an oceanview room, its breath taking how beautiful the water is. Parking was a little cramped, but it was the weekend of the Daytona 500 so go figure. All and all it was a place to lay our heads and we came out alive so I guess in a pinch we'd stay here again.

“Oh well!”

Went there for Biketoberfest, needed a place to sleep. That's about as good as it gets.

“It was OK”

We knew it wasn't going to be that great for the price, so we were pretty satisfied. The worst things were the internet not working and the pool closing at 9 pm. Also, they charge way too much for late check out. It was right on the beach and it was not a very far walk to shopping/dining/bars.

“Not Impressed”

After getting a room, we found out that that couple we were travelling with were down the hall and had an ocean view, as did we...that was a plus!!! The room was clean, but very "worn". The cleaning staff could do alot better. We had to get hand soap from the front desk because there was none left in our room after the the first day. The dirty towel were not taken away for the duration of our stay (5 nights) and the coffee pot that was in our room was never cleaned out. We knew that this was not one of the "better" hotels when we booked our vacation for the Daytona 500, but I guess we expected a little bit more.

“A good choice for an economical place to sleep at the beach.”

The Ocean Shore resort is an older hotel that needs a little work. All of the room fixtures and appliances worked properly, and the beds were fine, but overall it has seen better days. Nevertheless, the location is prime; it is on the beach. I did not use the ocean-side pool, but it looked nice. It was an adequate place to sleep and be with walking distance of some beach attractions. For that purpose it was fine. If you're looking for a place to stay in luxury at the beach, this would not be the best choice.

“Just okay”

If your looking for a cheap place and not luxury this is an okay place. Needs some renovations and updating.

“Not overly impressed with this hotel.”

The Ocean Shore Resort was not as expected to be. The beds needed new mattresses. The drapes were coming apart. The sliding glass door to the balcony was extremely hard to open. The rug was damp and dirty, as it left my socks stained daily. There was absolutely no counter in the bathroom to put personal items. The shower would leak water all over the bathroom floor, so there was an unexpected flood when you came out of the shower. If you were not careful, you could have slipped and fallen on the tile floor. The air conditioner was not in our control and was set so cold that there was ice dripping from the ceiling unit. We tried to have it fixed , but without success. There were many down-falls to this "resort" and I would not stay there again or would not recommend to anyone else. There were a few good points. We could here the ocean from our room as we had an ocean front room. We had room service daily and they did keep it as clean as they could. They vacuumed, made the beds, replaced the towels, except for one morning where they took our used towels and washclothes, but did not replace them with clean ones. Why I don't know. The resort was quiet because it was almost completely empty. Only a few guests were there. More on the weeked of our stay though. Overall, it was a place to sleep and keep our things, but we were not satisfied overall unfortunately. But, we are grateful that we had a safe place to stay.

“A Short Stay”

This Hotel does not look like much at 1st, but I was happy with my stay, it was very clean, no mildew smell or bad carpet smell. A very nice pool. For a ocean front hotel, they give great rates. I would stay here again, and if your on a budget this will work for you.
