We were not told that there was construction work going on at the time and the bar next door is really loud until 2pm. Our room was infested with cockroaches that appeared everywhere. The hotel was in a good location and when the construction work is finished it should be a really good location for people not wanting to spend too much money.

This hotel might be showing it's age but the location is one of the best . Right on the beach . 5 mins walk from the pier and Main street with its bikes n bars. Plenty of eating places with in walking distance. I found that the Hotel was clean the beds were comfortable and the bedrooms a good size. Bathroom is small but clean with a good shower and plenty of hot water and towels . Pool not heated and could be cleaner looking but a fair size with sun beds. Breakfast is free and plenty of it .Staff are helpfull and polite. .....I did have a small problem with a "runner" in my bedroom but it was delt with very quickly . The down side is $5 a day for parking but thair are plenty of parking to be had even on Biker week ends....Put it this way, I would be happy, as a lone female guest, to stay again .

The location is within walking distance to alot for families. The hotel is showing it's age and the wear from the salt air. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. We would return at the rate we paid but not anymore than that. They should not raise the rates for Race week.

Beds look like they where slept on, not neat and It didn't feel clean. Towels where like sand paper, toilet didn't flush. It was hard to relax and unwind in the room by the way it looked and felt.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very helpful with a situation that came up. They all were very friendly. Our room was always clean. However, I was disappointed with the continental breakfast.

I have stayed at the Mayan on many occasions for the above reasons, and each time I have stayed there they have been Booked. This may explain the reason why it get's a little messy. But let me tell you folks somrthing their is not a better Motel on the Beach for the Price you pay. I love the POOL, it is always nice & COOL., Close to all the Attractions, you never have to move your car. The Staff, what can I say about the Staff....... ACES ALL THE WAY...... My hat goes off to JoAnn, Mike, (JANET) this lady is a Sweetheart. I went to go use my car to go out & eat, it turned out I had a Dead Battery, this women Janet who does not know me except for staying at the Motel, (GET THIS ) Allows me to use her car to go out and get my Battery Replaced. Folks this is what I call TOP NOTCH SERVICE... Be back again Soon... Keith. 9/3/11....
