“Second time and still impressed”
This was our second time staying at Hammock Beach Resort and we had a great time again. We have been in a 3 bedroom villa and this time a 2 bedroon villa. They are very nice, clean and comfortable. The beach and pool areas are great, and with a Publix grocery store and great restaurants (JT's) near by, what's not to like? Our only incident was having a bad shower head in the master bath but is was fixed immediately.
“Gotta come back to this one!”
The best one night romantic experience! Looking forward to longer future stays with the family! It was like...finding a best kept secret in your own back yard! Was concerned on giving this review in fear that "Our secret Oasis" might get discovered by too many. But... in further thoughtful deliberation felt that the staff deserved all the praise! Go in the "off season" and you will be spellbound! We were!
“Can't wait to go back!”
Initially intimidated by dress code etc, but made to feel completely welcome by staff - despite all the hoopla, it is a very relaxed resort. AMAZING pool complex, our villa was enormous with all bells and whistles. Golf is fantastic, access to beach great. Easy to get to, great to have Publix supermarket 200 metres from resort entrance. Only issue is some fixtures and fittings showing some wear and tear, very minor in the grand scheme of things. Kid friendly, wish we didn't live on the other side of the world as we would be back next year!
“Great stay at Hammock Beach”
Our family was extremely pleased with the resort. The pools were very nice and kept my kids busy. The beach was beautiful and not cluttered with other housing and hotels The restaurants were fairly priced. The rooms were very comfortable with nice balconies overlooking the ocean. The grounds were attractive and very well kept. The location was perfect for getting into Daytona and St. Augustine (beautiful city). Overall a great stay at Hammock Beach.
“Nice Memorial Day Weekend”
Great place for families- the pool complex was a blast for our six-year-olds. Room was lovely. Service was universally attentive and friendly.
“3rd rate country club, NOT a resort”
This place is a third rate country club that subsidizes itself claiming to be a quality resort. What it is: a failed time share project that they tried to dress up as what it is not. So if you like cigarette butts by the pool, poor service, bad food and having your room not cleaned (or cleaning service at 7 AM on a Sunday, this is the place for you.
“More than expected!”
Our stay in early March 2011 was great!! The rooms were spatious, bathrooms very luxurious!! The pools and waterslide were a blast. We don't golf, but the course looked impressive. Location close to Daytona Beach and St. Augustine. Didn't use on site restaurants as jackets for men and "appropriate" resort -wear were required and we packed only shorts, t-shirts, etc! Will hopefully return!
“Cant wait to tell others.”
We recieved everything that we were told we would recieve.
“ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE”
Second stay at Hammock Beach Resort. Stayed in the 3 BR, 3 1/2 bath suite. Beautiful. HUGE. Decor was better than my home. Looks like a travel magazine. Well maitained. No cash is accepted at restaurants, shops, bars, etc.
“Gorgeous Room and View - real heated pool, plenty of towels and chairs”
From the moment we turned the corner, stopped the car, mouths dropped open and we all just said "wow", we had SUCH a great time at this gorgeous place, I would def go back again. The staff tripped over themselves to serve us, loved the fresh towels at every turn including a lush terrycloth beach chair protector, plenty of umbrellas and beach recliners at the beach, and our view was incredible. Stay on the 3rd floor so that the sun is blocked by the other side of the bldg a little bit, and you can keep your window wide open all day without the room getting too warm. Highly recommend it. A REAL heated pool, not just a tad above the temp of the ocean... excellent food. loved it.
