“As advertised”

The Marco Polo seems to be recognized with maybe one other as the best hotel in Davao. While this may be true, it is certainly not up to the standards I've become accustomed to in my travels. In my estimation, the Marco Polo is nearing 4-star quality, but it feels just a bit short. In any event, it was as advertised and met our needs for an overnight before heading out to the wonderful Pearl Farm. I would recommend the hotel but be careful of high expectations.

“Excellent location”

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The location is conveniently close to Aldevenco Shoppping center, if you are hunting for bargains in pearls, cultural items, and souvenirs. It is also a walking distance. One drawback is that we were overlooking the courtyard which had a party til 11pm. Although as promised, it was quiet after 11. The superior rooms only have twin beds. The price is a little more expensive compared to the same quality hotel.

“Great for location.”

Perfect hotel in the heart of downtown Davao...did not appreciate super expensive fee for WI-FI 500.00 pesos for "25 hrs"..I think it's highway robbery..should not be so expensive, better yet should be free for patrons like me..as any traveler could attest, this is part of our everyday life communication(i.e..phones and computers)..like me who's travelling from USA it was a necessity to communicate back home..and the hotel should not only give you a good night sleep but a piece of mind as well.

“Best hotel in DVO for us”

Although the rooms needed upgrade, overall we were happy for the 2 rms we stayed for 2 nights. Were there for HS reunion. We were charged for internet use, breakfast (thought 2b free, water (didn't think we took any). We walked to shopping late in the evening and it seemed safe. There was high security in and out of the hotel tho.

“Great Hotel in Davao!”

I liked the hotel. I can tell the staff take pride in the hotel. The amenities were great. The poolside bar was very enjoyable and I was happy that it was covered for it rained a little bit when we were out there. This hotel looks to be the best in the area. The facade of the hotel is superb. It really stands out among all that is around it. I like the fact that it is secure and they are consistent and persistent about security. I loved the staff, for they were pleasant all the time.

“Best Hotel in Davao?”

Standard of rooms makes this the best hotel I have stayed at in Dava but for the surroundings prefer the Waterfront Hotel

“Marko Polo- Davao”

Excellent Hotel but some staff are average. Davao taxi drivers are bad, always try to over charge and will not use meters.

“Lost opportunity”

This seems once to have been a good hotel, it made finalist in a 2007 Asia competition. It wouldn't today. Bathrooms lack hand towels, & spare toilet rolls. Room service is prompt and good, but food was lukewarm when delivered. The breakfast buffet ran out of items well before closing time. Even breakfast cereal ran out! No more stock!!! If you order fried eggs, which most hotels cook whilst you wait, despite an army of chefs it takes them ages and they deliver to your table. All in all It's just very badly managed. The manager is never to be seen, so standards drop.
