“Fabulous Short Stay”
Lovely to be upgraded! Interior lobby a little dated.
“Hotel staff quite rude”
Was sleeping soundly in the afternoon (jetlag) when my wife and I heard really loud banging on the door. Opened the door and a hotel staff came to change a light bulb, which we did not request for. Considering that the hotel is supposed to be '5 stars', it would be really nice if they could have at least phoned us first.....
“great location but a little old.”
do not order breakfast room service it is terrible there are plenty of cafe's down the road that do fantastic food.the staff are lovely & helpful
“Darwin in the wet”
We used the hotel in the wet season so got a great price. Would recommend to anyone. Great Location, great hotel, everything you would expect from a five star hotel.
“Nice room”
The rooms are typical hotel rooms that are nice with good bed and pillows. The hotel is nicely located by shopping and restaurants. I stayed here for 6 nights and was a quiet place and good location, would stay here again.
“Not bad”
the Crown Plaza is ok but hardly worth the claimed non-discount per night rate - plenty of room but some aspects are getting old and tired (eg bath room) - good position in middle of town
“Baills”
Booking for three adults, resulting in 2 old double beds which were every un-comfortable. suggest room configuration of room bedding, Queen, single or Queen, Double. would be more acceptable.
“Crowne Plaza Darwin review”
Western style hotel with good facilities and very good location. A larger and appears newer Holiday Inn down the street would be an alternative but good choice.
“best food in town”
the hotel breakfast was terrific ...and the dinner was unsurpassed anywhere in darwin ....and at reasonable prices ...will be back
“ENJOYABLE STAY”
Hotel is very well situated. Recommend one asks for a room with view to harbour. Very impressive. However there is room for improvement. These are: 1. Every 5 star hotel I have stayed in around the world supplies bathrobes. Crown Plaza does not, and SHOULD. 2. Pool area is lovely but for some unknown reason there are no 'umbrellas' to protect one from the blistering sun. Very annoying and definitely detracts from the pool experience. It would not cost much for Crowne to provide the above items and keep their clients happy. Breakfast was very good and not overpriced. All things considered I enjoyed my stay at Crown Plaza Darwin
