"Great Experience for the well traveled."
Excellent staff, friendly, professional but real. The activities for a older couple where as dynamic as the programs for the young families and kids. It was a great inter generational experience. Highly recommended for grand parents, children and grandchildren. Golf was above average. The location, in the Dartmoor National Forest and the Moors was ideal. We also used the location to visit the Cornwall Coast. Excellent find!

"Basic, but OK"
Room was basic, but appropriate for the room rate, but bathroom radiator was cold. Breakfast on 1st morning was cooked to order, and was superb. On 2nd morning there was a buffet which wasn't quite so nice, but edible. Overall a very friendly place to stay.

Pocket Guide: Dartmoor, Devon Business Hotels

A fascinating contrast of wild empty landscapes, manicured beauty spots and picture-postcard villages, Dartmoor is one of southern England's last wildernesses, where ponies, sheep, and cattle graze freely. Most popular for day-trippers is the south east of the moor with wooded valleys and cascading streams. The central and northern parts feature wild open moorland with imposing rock outcrops ('tors'). The whole area is a walker's paradise.
