“Wonderful Westin”

I visited the Westin Hotel for a conference with DaniJohnson.com, LLC that was being hosted at another local hotel. I was extremely grateful and impressed with the professional and courteous Shuttle Service. Because of the service, I was able to attend my meetings/sessions without worry of being late. Also, I missed my flight upon departure. I slept like a baby in the cozy bed and missed my alarm. The staff member was able to provide me with alternate available flight information. Having this data was such a relief! I would highly recommend the Westin.

Getting there

The Shuttle Service from the airport is stellar! Friendly, prompt, professional and courteous; and it is minutes from the Dallas Fort Worth airport. When you're in Dallas, I highly recommend the Westin.

“Will think twice about going back here”

PROS Friendly staff Right across Dennys - good for breakfast Clean rooms (at least the one that I got) Convenience of location CONS The hotel is along the line of approach for airplanes landing to the airport - the noise can still be heard in the rooms. The mini-fridge is not working. Towels were few - have to ask several times for a new one.

“Filthy”

Corn chips on the floor from the last guest. Smudges and stains on the walls- gross! And they didn't care.

“Badly in need of”

Simply put this is a typical low quality, poorly maintained airport hotel and not up to Westin standards. For example, the lamps on the bedside tables both had large cracks in the base and were about to fall over. Also the semi-sheer window shade had a broken pull and appeared to have been left in a permanent down position. The staff, however was helpful and friendly.

“Convenient to Cowboys Stadium”

The room was comfortable and a decent size for two people. It is convenient to Cowboys Stadium and Irving/Las Colinas business. It is not a staycation destination since it's geared for the business traveler.

“Will visit again!”

Airport shuttle was prompt and clean. Check in was quick and painless. Lobby and ammenities were clean and well maintained. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were all friendly and courteous. Would definitely recommend this hotel if staying near DFW.

“Westin Dallas/Ft. Worth needs to work on it”

We had just stayed at a Westin in Beijing, China. I had no qualms about booking a room in Dallas/Ft. Worth for a funeral. During the night, the sink in the bathroom gurgled and in the morning, it would not drain. Maintenance spent Saturday afternoon snaking the sink and the one in the adjoining room. The safe locked my valuables in and then would not open. Maintenance had to be called again. On Sunday morning, the toilet overflowed and we were happy to be leaving. Not up to Westin standards, with ripped carpet at the door of the room and the privacy blind at the window torn and tattered, preventing it from going up. For such a short stay (Friday to Sunday morning) there were far too many issues with the room. On a Sunday morning, at 8 am, there was no one staffing the Front Desk!

Area recommendations

We were in town for a funeral and did not see any parts of the city other than those related to the funeral.
