“Mansion on Turtle Creek”

The Mansion on Turtle Creek is a lovely Hotel. Tucked away in a nicely landscaped site, it has all the amenities and has a welcoming staff. There is even a courtesy car available for transportation within the area.It's like having your own driver. Be sure to educate yourself on the history of the site as it is very interesting. The restaurant, patio and common areas are luxurious with all the marble, fireplaces, and antiques. The Chef's Tasting Menu was excellent and the Restaurant is known for the famous tortilla soup and shrimp cocktail, but the menu is much more extensive . We will definitely stay there on our next trip to Dallas.

“Not worth the cost”

Given the glowing reviews I read about this hotel, I have to say I was extremely underwhelmed. We had a nice looking room but the bed was horribly uncomfortable. There was no hot water in the place and it took them nearly a day to do something about it, by then we had to leave. I would not recommend this hotel because the price and the service do not match what you should expect or what you deserve.

“Really nice hotel”

If your first time in town take a tour with Alice (ask the concierge), in three hours you get a pretty good overview of the city.

“Great Dallas Hotel”

The hotel was great with little touches that make you feel special. Upon check-in I received a weather update for my stay along with some attractions that are nearby to check out. They also immediately gave me a bottle of cold water since it was very hot (100!) outside. Then, in the room, a little dessert treat was there to great me. Much nicer than the standard chocolate on the pillow. Every time we entered the hotel, we were greated and welcomed back, and the valet would remember my name. A nice touch to make you feel special. The front desk was always very helpful with making sure you had plans or if you needed any assistance making reservations, etc. The stay was great and I would stay here again for sure!

Area recommendations

I would stay in the downtown or uptown area in order to be close to most of the attractions and shopping. This is also especially convenient if you are flying into Love Field.

“First Class Hotel!”

The Mansion on Turtle Creek has a long standing reputation for being a very special place in Dallas and we were not disappointed in any way with our visit. The facility is absolutely lovely and the staff was warm, professional, efficient and friendly. The hotel has recently updated their decor but it has maintained a very elegant yet comfortable atmosphere! We highly recommend this hotel!

“Best Hotel in Texas”

This was the best hotel experience my husband and I have had - & we've stayed at a lot of hotels. The hotel/room was very clean - the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. When the manager heard that we were there celebrating our anniversary - chocolate covered strawberries & drinks were immediately sent to our room. We asked for reservations to be made for us at a restaurant, when we arrived we were brought an appetizer on the house from Rosewood. Romantic - Luxurious - Wonderful Experience!

Downtown Dallas - Lots to do, great shopping - museum, where J.F.K was assassinated -wonderful tour. Fabulous restaurants - very friendly and really there to give you everything you want and need.

Galleria Dallas - the best shopping! Macy's is now my favourite store. We went to the galleria once, it was such a great place to shop we ended up going again!

Trulucks - fabulous restaurant - steak/seafood, great food and great service - really do cater to the patrons.
