“no frills room at a cheap rate”

This was an inexpensive room so you can't expect it to have the extras. On the good side - within walking distance of Six Flags, staff was polite, had microwave and fridge in the room. There was almost no continental breakfast included, pool was small - but I would expect this because the price was very low so that's ok. Had difficulty finding a room at check-in even though I had a reservation, lighting in room was very dim, tv remote did not work - not ok at any price. I would maybe recommend only if you want an inexpensive room within walking distance of Six Flags with no extras.

“Overpriced dump”

The hotel is a very poorly maintained economy hotel, and not worth the price as Motel 6 and other similar properties cost substantially less.
