Nicely decorated hotel with huge rooms.

Posted 22-Feb-2015
The hotel is decorated with a very fun, modern decor. It's proximity to the Galleria mall ( walk across the street) is perfect for shoppers. A few warnings: the pool was too cold and not as clean as it should have been, and our coffee from room service was cold - they did not charge us at checkout, however. We had an enjoyable time.

Nice clean hotel

The room was very modern, sleek and very tidy. The staff seemed patient and knowledgeable. The only negative was the broken shower head attach

Good location, but you get what you pay for.

Posted 04-Feb-2015
Pros: Spacious rooms, modern look, directly across the street from the Galleria
Cons: Lowered incidental fee & parking fee. These were not priced to match what you pay per room. Are you a fancy hotel or an affordable one? Pick one.
Location: Right next to the Galleria and tons of shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend The Original Pancake House! Also we ordered pizza from Picasso's!
I booked this hotel thinking I was getting a steal for around $100 a night to be so close to the Galleria and with the modern feel and large rooms, but sadly, there were some areas lacking as well. Things I liked: The look of the hotel and rooms, the lobby was gorgeous, as was the room, and the room was huge for hotel standards. Plenty of space and areas to plug in devices. Nice tv, very comfortable bedding. The hotel staff were super friendly, especially Al at the front desk. Our kids enjoyed the heated indoor pool too. Didn't like: $20 parking PER DAY! $75 incidental hold on my card for a $100 room is just NUTS! That is waaaaaaaayyyyy too high, its almost the cost I paid for the reservation per night! No hot tub, though I thought I had read a review that said there was one, though that is no fault of the hotel. Water pressure in the shower was beyond awful, and my rooms water barely made it to luke warm. So showers were super quick for me, ugh...no fun when I wanted to relax at the end of our days. Finally, I would recommend requesting a room that faces outside. Our windows faced the inside lobby of the hotel and they are not tinted at all, so I couldn't have the windows open for natural light without strangers being able to see in my room, it was very odd, and I absolutely hate no natural light, I felt extremely claustrophobic because of this. In the hotels defense I didn't go to them with any of these problems because I hate to complain, but wouldnt stay here again.

Pros: Rooms. Lobby.
Cons: Parking. Gated. Need a card pass even to exit?
Location: Great locations but take the Westin over this place... if rates are the same
The lobby and rooms are great. The parking is awkward and unnecessarily expensive

Large room and Heavenly beds!

Posted 31-Jan-2015
My husband and I have stayed here before and love it. The rooms are more like suites with a large sitting area and a tv that will rotate toward the bed or the sitting area. The beds have the luxurious linens that upscale hotels have now. The restaurant has a wonderful daily breakfast buffet with made to order omelettes. We like to shop at the Galleria Mall, and it's just a short walk across a side street-so it isn't necessary to fight the traffic to get there. Great value for a very nice, modern hotel.

Great hotel for the rich and famous!

Would have been happier at a Hampton Inn. We were afraid to touch anything. We were talked to in a manner that left us wondering if we were being treated nice or being insulted. Probably won't go back unless we have to. $20 to park there at a hotel that I am already staying at? I didn't feel like I was appreciated.

Excellent Hotel!

We stayed for 1 night for a girls weekend wedding dress shopping trip! It was perfect for us, the room was spacious and very clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a great size too. We didn't use the amenities much or the bar/restaurant but everything looked great.
