“Unresponsive to issues in my room”

I have stayed with Palomar before and have always been happy. Not so much this time. THere was a smoke alarm in my room incessantly beeping. I called to have it fixed but since I was about to hop in the shower asked them to wait a bit to send someone up. They sent someone up immediately so I asked them to come back. They never showed up again. I called again. The problem was not fixed. I had trouble reporting the problem each time because the cordless phone in my room was not holding a charge. I also reported this each time. They never fixed the phone either. Pretty disappointing experience for a hotel of this caliber and not consistent with my previous experience at this property either.

“great weekend”

we found the hotel very nice -staff more than helpful. Our room was clean and very comfortable with robes that made the late evening warm and relaxful. The wine hour was nice and gave us time to meet other guests. They also are pet friendly - so we saw about ten or so pets.

Area recommendations

the overall mockingbird area for nice eateries as well as the quaint Greenville st Angelica Theatre is right across the street showing typically indie movies.

“Great Dallas Area Hotel”

I have stayed at the Palomar multiple times and always have a good experience. Contemporary pet friendly boutique type hotel with an excellent spa, bar and restaurant convenienly located near SMU and Highland Park area. Complementary beverages in lobby in the afternoon completes a very nice social vibe.

“Another Great Evening at Hotel Palomar”

This was our 2nd stay and Hotel Palomar and it was as wonderful as our first. The only issue we had (that was really a non-issue) was that the hotel's signature zebra print robes weren't in our room. We called and they sent them up right away...literally...they were there in under 5 minutes. Also, I called the hotel prior to our arrival and requested a room on a high floor with a view and they didn't disappoint. We highly recommend Hotel Palomar and will definitely return.

“Weekend at Palomar”

I've stayed at the Palomar several times and it's always great. The staff is friendly and helpful, the restaurant is beyond wonderful, the rooms are clean and stylish, and the location is perfect.

“Very Impressed”

“Very nice Hotel. Very friendly and helpful people working at hotel.”

This hotel was very nice and upscale. People working there were very helpful, kind, great service. Will go back at a good price. It is very close to my daughter's college SMU.

“Mixed results”

Hotel had some nice features such as the wine happy hour in the lobby, the infinity pool and spa. However, the pool experience was ruined by the fact that there is some sort of business next to the hotel that has a very loud generator that spewed diesel smell which was quite overwhelming. The generator noise was so loud that it drowned out the music playing in the pool area. Definitely NOT relaxing.
