“Perfect for those attending events at the AAC”

My wife and I have just spent two weeks at this hotel whilst attending 5 Dallas Stars games over that same period, the hotel was perfect in terms of location to the AAC and with the room having its own kitchen facilities and lounge area was a home from home. The location is in a safe and quiet area, has its own secure garage and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is a little repetitive but it has all the basics you'd expect and if you couple that with the Monday to Thursday evening hospitality buffet it provides quite a good basic food package. Décor may not be the most modern but it was clean and tidy and the housekeepers do an excellent job, unlike some 5 star hotels where you see room service trays outside doors for hours. The gym and pool area are small but adequate unless you are a serious keep fit fanatic. Downtown Dallas and various restaurants’ are only a short (15 minute) walk away but you do need a car if you want to see more of what Dallas/Texas can offer or for getting groceries from the local Kroger supermarket. For the price I was happy with the facilities, staff and location, I’d certainly stop there again and would happily recommend it to family and friends.

Dining
The YO Steakhouse in the West End district of Downtown Dallas (not far from the the 6th Floor Museum) serves wonderful food but I'd recommned lunchtimes when the menu is more reasonably priced.

“Needs Improvement”

First the good: the hotel makes it very easy to check in and check out without any major delays or issues. It's relatively close to some nice restaurants and easy to get to the Dallas business districts. It provides onsite laundry which is a major plus for those of us on long term road trips. Now for the bad: the hotel was not as clean as I would expect with a Hyatt brand name, second, I must have had the worst bed I have ever slept in with sheets that seemingly wouldn't stay on the mattress. And lastly, trying to get the room cleaned was a challenge as they do not provide daily housekeeping. But if the price is right, I will stay here again and take my chances that I simply had a tough draw this last time. At this time, the 2 Rating is deserved.

Area recommendations
Uptown area, Mckinney Ave, Oak Lawn Ave are all within reach.

“Extremely clean hotel. 'Would book again.”

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast left something to be desired, but other than that, the hotel was excellent.

“Very comfortable & affordable uptown Dallas hotel”

We enjoyed staying at the Dallas Hyatt Summerfield Suites. The extremely friendly staff and spacious room made our trip very enjoyable.

“Very Impressed”

Staff was excellent . Hotel was clean. Shuttle available by hotel for travel within 5 miles. Would definitley reccomend it .

“Convenient to AA center”

We had difficulty locating the Hotel as mapquest showed the hotel to be on the right of Harry Hines and it was on the left. Trees obscured the signage and we drove around the block several times and finally found it. Upstairs room noise disturbed our sleep.

“Horrible Breakfast”

The breakfast was atrocious and the internet was slow. Other than that the hotel was pretty good.
