“I found this hotel better than a 5 star rated in downtown Dallas”

Nice staff. Excellent housekeeping. Good workout room. Close to all the great shopping and expressways. Also close to the airport.

Area recommendations
Northpark Center, Plano, downtown Dallas, and Irving.

“Filled the need”

The hotel was very nice on the inside, a good suprise considering the outside lead me to believe the hotel was older...The room was nice with a flat screen tv and good size space...The only way I knew it was dated was the peeling wall paper in the bathroom. Otherwise the hotel and room was nice. The breakfast buffet was a bit expensive at $15.00 per person.

“Relaxing (and a great price)”

The staff at the hotel were very kind, my room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. I have no complaints! I was visiting friends in North Dallas and so it was convenient to their house. I was a little concerned with it being so close to the airport, but I never heard any air traffic. I had a great stay and will stay here again!

“OK, for the price”

Our stay was OK, given the price. Every hotel stay must be tempered by the fact that "you get what you pay for." In this case, we did not pay much, and we certainly did not get much. The room was good, because the hotel was not too full--so it was quiet and reasonably well maintained. Parking was available and not too expensive. The bath/shower and vanity area were far below what I would have expected, given the general reputation of the hotel chain. It was impossible for my wife and I to layout our "basics" on the bathroom vanity counter (2 toothbrushes, 2 tubes of toothpaste, and one contact lens case), due to its small size. On the other hand, the sleeping area of the room was a little bigger than expected. The hotel refrigerator would not cool drinks, or chill our icepacks, so we had to fetch ice twice daily. So it goes.... But, the room was reasonably clean, which implied the cleaning staff was not too busy. Towels were small, washcloths were "utility grade" at best. But, given the level of comfort in the bath area, this was probably to be expected. Finally, our "good price" did not include breakfast--which was unfortunate, because the hotel restaraunt looked to be pretty good, from the outside.

Area recommendations
1. Downtown Grapevine--very nice Christmas decorations in the traditional mainstreet area. This area is worth at least a few hours of your time! 2. The Gaylord hotel--even if you just stop by for lunch, and to walk through the public spaces (especially the replica of the Alamo), it's a fun place to spend a an afternoon. About ten to fifteen minutes from the hotel. 3. The nearby mall (it's big, clean, and got a pretty wide variety of stores), plus a bunch of other shops on the west side of the airport (the hotel is on the east side...so it's about a ten minute drive to "civilization" (if casual shopping, light food, and the like is "civilization"). 4. Watch for road construction--there's a lot of building going on north of the airport (less than five minutes from the hotel), and you can get stuck in traffic for quite a while, depending on exactly what exits/lanes/overpasses the highway department has shut down.

“Great Location for DFW Parking”

This was a great room for the price and the length of our stay. We had an early flight and this worked perfectly since it was right across the highway from the parking lot we used~literally 2 minutes away. We made it to the airport in plenty of time, as we did the last time we stayed here. The lighting in the room is nice since it comes on low during the night and then increases in intensity so if you need to get up for something, the lights don't blind you. We had a great room and a great short stay.

“Ok for what is is--an airport hotel nothing more or less.”

The hotel is clean, its really just an airport hotel nothing more or less although there was a pool which looked nice. The shuttle service was stellar and left on time at 5 am.

“Can't wait to go back!”

We were driving to Ft. Worth from Arizona for a wedding and this was the first time I ever booked a hotel and after reading review after review of other hotels, I was scared of what I would expect. To my surprise it was very clean, the staff was very helpful and courtious. The room was clean and the beds were soooo comfortable! I haven't slept through the night since my baby was born and after driving 16hrs with a 4 month old it was exactly what we needed! We were ALL out before our heads hit the pillows. Plus the double beds were a good length for my husband whose 6'2. in additon we had an endless supply of towels and pillows. They even came to our room with some duct tape when my husband realized his suit pants were covered in our cats hair and not coming off. If I ever go back to TX I'm staying here again! It was a wonderful experience.
