Old but very well located

This is a so so hotel. At first, we were really impressed. There is a charming garden (nice place to have breakfast or a beer in the afternoon), the hotel overlooks the lake and the place has a nice cozy feeling to it. However, the beds were very uncomfrotable (hard as a rock) and the staff was really not helpfull at all. The upside is it's not very expensive and very well located. You can walk to most of the nice restaurants and rent a scooter just down the stairs from the hotel (An experience I recommend because the traffic in Dalat is much less heavy than anywhere else we've seen). We spent a full day getting lost in and around town on our bike. If I were to go back to Dalat, I'd try another hotel because we felt sore from the beds and the rooms are dark and humid.

Nice and quit hotel five of minutes walk from the central market. Quit big room with pretty high standard. A decent restaurant with vietnamese and international courses. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money

Hotel should be renovated

Posted 17-Jan-2011
Cons: Hotel and room was run down, limited toiletries - no bars of soap for shower, poor shower pressure, no kettle for coffee/tea, only 1 tea bag and 1 pair of slippers provided despite being a double room, no complimentary bottles of water or coffee in room, music in room controlled by reception, sheets were a bit stained and marked, with each room clean our linen began to disappears (first our doona went missing, then we were not given bathroom towels), hotel overlooks main lake however, the lake has been drained and looks like it has been for a while (grass is growing; horses grazing on lake bed), continental breakfast was provided but we were unclear on what we could order because the waiter spoke limited English; our orders were often wrong, paper placemats on breakfast tables were used (stained with food/coffee etc), food at breakfast was ordinary, concierge spoke little English, no tourist related information at reception (e.g., no city maps available etc), no working power point in room, hotel is on a hill - not good for people with leg/back problems who can't climb stairs. Overall, hotel is like a 'ghost town' - run down and sad Pros: Big room, cleanliness was acceptable, big bathroom, one old computer with internet at reception; check-in was quick and efficient, safe in room
