“Lovely Grounds”

We spent 3 nights here while touring the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. It was a lovely, restful place with great flowers. It also has a safe parking place for cars. The restaurant staff was very helpful. When an order got confused the chef came out to apologize (which was unnecessary but very nice of him). Bathrooms are nice. Our room was a little smaller than we expected after looking at pictures but it had a nice view out over a courtyard filled with flowers with the lovely hills behind. The area is traditional rural Peru, cows and all and the town is going through an upgrade so there is some construction on the roads nearby but inside the many courtyards of the hotel, all is beautiful.

Area recommendations
Machu Picchu is really gorgeous. We also were very impression with the sites at Ollantaytambo and Moray. We went to the Pisco site but probably did not see the best parts since it was getting late. If you drive - take it slow and don't let the other drivers push you into driving at excessive speeds given the people and animals on the road and the condition of the roads. Speed bumps are in every town.
