“disappointing stay”
I chose to stay at this hotel because we were traveling on a budget. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and welcoming; however, the room we were given was less than satisfactory. Initially there was no curtain on the shower, the water was turned off, and we were only given one towel. The staff corrected these mistakes. After staying in the hotel for two nights we realized that someone from the staff had stolen money that had been well-hidden deep within our luggage. Furthermore, we learned that we were paying way too much for our hotel room compared to nicer hotels in the area. Although the staff were incredibly pleasant (staff are likely to be pleasant at any hotel in Cusco), I will not return in the future.

Cusco, Peru: The Old and the New World intersect in Cusco: This fair city was remade in the image of Spain after conquistadors crushed the Inca in the 1500s. This colonial heritage is most evident at the Plaza de Armas, home to three baroque churches. To see the vestiges of the Incas, pass through the bohemian enclave of San Blas in the hills above central Cusco, and head north to the Sacsayhuaman fortress.
