“Real gem,use again anytime.”
Great hotel easy access to M6 north or south bound,only stayed one night on our way south could have stayed longer time permitting after discovering a hotel with very friendly helpful staff in all areas of the hotel,great quiet nights sleep,great food,clean and nice surroundings, well done.
“Excellent choice”
We stopped at the Westmoreland on our way back from Scotland and would recommend it very highly. Very comfortable rooms, superb dinner, helpful staff........all you could want from a hotel whilst in transit. Certainly not what you would expect from a hotel you would normally find on a motorway service area!!
“Great stop over”
A lovely stop over hotel. Staff were very helpful and could not do enough. Had diner in hotel it was fantastic meal overlooking a most fantastic view,, a great way to chill out after a busy week in work
“The best motorway break on the M6 route bar none”
We found the hotel easy to access from the motorway but once there you are in a different world, peace and quiet and friendly chatty staff. The restaurant food is excellent and they use local produce whenever possible which makes a huge difference. I would consider using this hotel as a base for exploring the north of england as it is ideally placed to go in any direction.
“A port in a storm”
The hotel is very convenient for the M6 either going north or south if you want to break your journey, the hotel is well built using local materials where poss. and the staff are very friendly and efficient, the restaurant food is excellent and reasonably priced as are the wines. This is the fourth time we have used this hotel and will certainly do so again.
“Great hotel among motorway hotels”
I stayed here with my family. We were surprised by the amazing food served by the restaurant. We will love to stay here again.
