“excellent hotel”

Really enjoyed our stay. We had a great meal on arrival and a very comfortable stay. Ticked all the boxes would highly recommend.

Area recommendations
We were just stopping for a night on our way to Oxford. We did have a short visit to Kirkby Stephen which we would recommend lovely little shops and very friendly people.

“What a superb hotel”

The Black Swan is a delightful little hotel and pub in a beautiful setting. We spent 1 night there with our friends and had a fantastic time. We booked to eat in the resturant and the food was superb - couldn't comment on the sweet menu as we were all too full to even look! On arrival we were told we were being upgraded to one of the suites so we could be in a room next to our friends. If you want a luxurious suite, book room 15 it has a perfect blend of antique and modern fixtures and fittings.
