“Cromer with luxury!”

A beautiful resort on a wooded hillside adjoining the lighthouse and the cliff-top path. It is a wonderful 20 minutes walk along this path to Cromer, and is worth visiting just for the walk! Our only gripe is that Expedia did not accurately reflect the board type of this accommodation. We were told over the phone that breakfast could not be booked in advance, but could be paid for at the time. Actually, breakfast is not available at all, so this caused us considerable inconvenience in having to find a local shop to buy food for the following morning... Our apartment had a beautiful kitchen, and should have been billed as a self-catering apartment, rather than a hotel. That said, the restaurant was wonderful, and not expensive, so is absolutely fine for evening meals or lunch. Although we only stayed one night, we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment, which had a large lounge, huge balcony, well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and bedrooms upstairs. The swimming pool was large and all of the facilities were exceptional. I would thoroughly recommend it (just remember to bring your own breakfasts!!)

Area recommendations

The coastal path is wonderful for walks, and the pier is a real highlight.

“Good accommodation”

We had a short break in a 2 bed apartment. Apartment was clean and well furnished. Facilities were good. Location of site on steep hill. Check in at 4pm too late and check out at 10am too early.

“Great location for sea and cliff top walks”

The welcome at reception had the wow factor. The rooms were excellent. Our only criticism is that there were no sheets for the sofa bed, and as it was late before we discovered this we ended up sleeping on a blanket.

Area recommendations

All the North Norfolk seaside towns are worth a visit, especially Sheringham and Holt if you are looking for old fashioned charm.

“Comfortable and relaxed with good facilities”

A very comfortable stay in a well appointed 'villa' Food in the restaurant was fine - typical pub fare at reasonable prices. Convenient for Cromer town and Royal Cromer Golf club next door. Good walks around the Club and friendly advice when wanted

“Superb best of British”

This is one of the best places I have stayed at with family in Britain, beats any b&b Lovely rooms, well equipped kitchenette, lcd tv with dvd player. Fantastic balcony place - just wonderful. Added bonus is superb service, very wam friendly staff, nothing is ever too much.

“Very satisfied”

Having read some mixed reviews we did not not know which opinions to trust. However, we found the Cromer Country Club to be excellent. The staff were very courteous and helpful; the accommodation very good value; the facilities quite reasonable with a very good indoor swimming pool and other facilities (which we did not use), which provide sufficient diversion if the weather is not suitable for spending time on what looked like a good beach within 5 minutes drive from the hotel. The accommodation was quite spacious; TV and DVD player very good; kitchen very good for holiday accommodation. No hesitation in staying ther again.

“Cromer in the Sun”

After the initial glitch and I must say we were extremely well looked after during the resolution of the problem,we had a lovely time at the Country Club. Facilities and restauarnt were excellent and level of attention was great. We will certainly return and will probably bring our two granddaughters during the summer break

The walkway down to Cromer was lovely and very well maintained. If you are a golfer then Cromer GC is a must to play

The breadth of choice from the menus was excellent as was the service and the quality of food.

“Wonderful location and facilities”

We have just returned from a wonderful 4 day break here. The villa was spacious, comfortable and clean. The facilities - pool, badminton, table tennis - were all excellent. Best of all is the location. Right on the cliff top with a short walk onto the cliffs and down to the beach. Quite a steep climb but what better evening or morning walk could you have? Altogether a perfect break for our family. It is our second trip this year and we will be back!

We have been frequent visitors to Cromer for years and love its rather faded grandeur but all the local towns like Sheringham and the beaches in between are great.

“Wish I could have moved in”

This was only an overnight stay but the studio apartment was excellent, well decorated, fully furnished for everythign you would want for a self catering break. Restaurant was very pleasant - though portions huge. Staff attentive and friendly. Cant fault it at all. Will definitely be back.
