“Not impressed”
Was quite disturbed by the hotel. Simple things like i had to have my key card changed 4 times over a 2 night stay. poor service. cleanliness was a real issue- the menu cards in the room were covered in something that had dried up on it years ago! when my room service dinner arrived , the tray it arrived on was filthy- dried up food on it as if it had never been cleaned.
“Everything I looked for for a one-night stay”
I stayed there for our weekend trip to Warwick castle, since we went by car we didn't mind staying in Coventry given that Warwick hotels, hostels and B&B's were all fully booked. It's under 30 min from Warwick and the price is over 40pct cheaper. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate but probably because there were so few people we were invited to have it anyways at no extra cost. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfy, and we loved the TV's. Perfect for a one night stay although I wouldn't mind staying there for longer. For me there isn't anything really amazing about Coventry but it's so well located that I would use it as a headquarters for visiting other places around (Stratford Upon Avon, for example, is only 30min away --which we did as well by the way).

The staff & the hotel was superb. The staff were friendly and very obliging. I'd definitely stay there again if I ever go back to coventry.
“Value for money overnight stay”
Needed a value for money hotel for overnight stay whilst visiting relatives. This is a budget hotel, but has been recently refurbished in parts and the staff were very obliging. Rather unfortunate odour from the corridor to our bedroom, but room was perfectly clean and comfortable if as expected basic. The freshly cooked English breakfast was a welcome change from the usual buffet style drying up food found in many hotels
“Standardhotel mit edler Lobby und renovierungsbedürftigen Zimmern”
Das Hotel liegt nah an der Innenstadt, war aber aufgrund von einer Baustelle im Oktober kaum per Auto zu erreichen - 3km Umweg wegen vieler Einbahnstraßen. Die freundlichen Mitarbeiter der Lobby halfen aber beim Finden. Das Hotel ist 70er-Style von außen und liegt in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet, die Lobby sieht dagegen extrem modern und edel aus. Die Zimmer dagegen waren einfach und typisch Englisch, gerade das Bad war renovierungsbedürftig (braune Wasserflecken, Schimmel?). Sauber war das Hotel allerdings schon, es wird sicher in der nächsten Zeit schöner gestaltet. Für 1-2 Nächt ok, wenn man sich nur zum Schlafen dort aufhält.
“Days Hotel Coventry: Perdu au milieu de nulle part”
Hôtel situé dans un quartier morbide, sans aucun transport public pour le centre ville. Il faut y aller (ou y revenir) à pied, chose fortement déconseillée après la tombée de la nuit. Les chambres sont vétustes, laissée à l'abandon. Le papier peint déchiré à plusieurs endroits, porte défoncée, robinetterie cassée, ressorts de lit apparents à certains endroits... Le staff de l'hôtel est sympathique et très serviable, par contre ne comptez pas sur le restaurant ni le petit déjeuner qui est plus que basic. Bref, quand j'irai de nouveau à Coventry je n'y retournerai surement pas là bas.
