“could do better”
The hotel room was fine. The bed was very uncomfortable, woke up with a back ache. The shower was just about ok. Took ages for the water to heat up and then it was just about warm. The saving grace was the breakfast, it was nice and you could fill your plate up. The hotel could do with a bit of a spruce up. Good hotel management though, very friendly. Will i stay there again, if the price is the same and i could not book something else, then i might consider it.It would be ok for one night stay but nothing longer.
“sound hotel”
Very nice hotel with a good bar area and hotel lounge. Major problem for me being that I specifically booked a hotel with internet access and the wifi had not worked for a number of days. When I complained I was met with a very lacklustre response and the customer service response was poor. One member of staff even told me that the internet had worked the night before, despite my having complained to the hotel manager the night before and she acknowledged there were issues with the wifi service. (this member of staff had not worked the night shift though!)
“Convenience stop”
Previous reviews had given us a good idea that this was a rather tired hotel that has seen little recent refurbishment. Basic and nothing unsatisfactory, and at a very good rate if just needing somewhere to sleep overnight. Not somewhere for a special occasion or to impress!

Budget Hotel. Good room. No internet in the room, but available for free in the lobby. Clean washrooms.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Failed my expectations in every way.
“good value for price”
Was in Birmingham for show at NEC. This hotel was far chearer than other hotels close to NEC, and was a 30 minutes bus ride on bus line 900 to NEC. Staff was courteous. Room was comfortable. Not sure if the hotel had WIFI access to the rooms (didn't check). This is one factor that business travelers may want to verify.
