Room was efficient and clean Coffee had a bitter, unpleasant taste. Coffee pot was in a room removed from breakfast service. No milk was available for cereal. Pastries were at least a day or two old. No orange juice, diluted cranberry cocktail juice. Plants were untended and dried up. Breakfast was a thoroughly unpleasant experience

Milk is in the carafe in the mini fridge under the counter. Coffee is in a different room, yes, since there is no room on the counters but the room is three steps away from the breakfast. Pastries were put out fresh, but breakfast opens at 5 am so they do sit out for a couple hours. Orange juice has not been available for the juice machine for about two weeks, which is not the hotel’s fault. No idea what you mean by withered plants. It’s unfortunate that you decided to base your entire review on the problems that you perceived with the breakfast, but thank you for your feedback anyway.

We had no working Television or wi-fi in our room. At time of check in we were told the televisions and wi-fi were not working because of a storm. At check out we were told half of the units were having this issue but we were not given the option to move to a room that was working. The motel was far from full as there were only a half dozen vehicles in the parking lot. Bugs on the floors in both the main room and the bathroom. Expedia should be ashamed to sell rooms at this location. Will think twice before your site next time.

Yes, unfortunately a power surge caused by a nearby lightning strike has completely taken out a lot of our systems and we are in the process of replacing them. That is why at time of check in you were told about the TV and WiFi. You said that would not be a problem and that you understood. By the time you changed your mind and complained, we had no other pet rooms available. We do not allow pets in every room so that guests with allergies can be guaranteed a pet free room, so it doesn't matter how many cars are in the parking lot. As to your claims of bugs, we have been unable to verify them since you didn't say anything to the staff and nothing was found in your room. Thank you for your feedback.

After reading all of the negative reviews I honestly didn't know what to expect, and I was very pleasantly surprised! My room was affordable, clean, quiet, and the hot water in the shower was amazing! The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitively stay again!

The hotel was generally dingy. The Wi-Fi signal did not reach into the room. The coffee was terrible. About the only positive is that the staff was friendly. Next time I am in the area, I will stay in an Omaha hotel and drive to the points north that interest me.

Booked thru Expedia because it stated PET FRIENDLY. After a long road trip we stopped at front desk to pick up key and check in. I told the manager at the front office we had three 5 pound puppies and as stated on website would pay the up charge for all three. He told to me I am sorry that we do not allow over two dogs and you cannot stay here with us. I stated there is nothing on the website saying how many dogs you can have. He again refused the room again and stated to try another hotel down the street. He was very rude to me and asked me to leave. What a kick in the ass and I will never stay at that chain of hotels again. Went down the street to the other hotel and he gladly gave me a room and only charged me for two dogs. If you travel with pets make sure you call first to get the verbal rules since they do not list them on their website.

We apologize for any confusion. You told our agent that you had three dogs and another pet in a carrier, with no specification as to size for any of them. Unfortunately four animals are too many for one room according to fire codes. We have no control over what policies Expedia chooses to display or not, including occupancy limits as dictated by Iowa state law, so yes: it is always a good idea when booking online to contact the hotel and get their policies before your arrival. Again, we are sorry you ran into those restrictions and chose to abuse our front desk staff over it, which is why you were asked to leave.

Yes, that is what you said, but had no answer as to why you would sleep in a bed that looked unchanged and slept in, instead of telling the front desk so they could switch your room. Not many people would stay in that hotel, much less sleep in a bed that they suspected of having unchanged sheets, no matter how stressed or tired they were. We are disappointed that you chose to do so, instead of giving us the chance to correct the problem. Thank you for your feedback.

Dog vomit remains left on carpet in our room. The attempt to clean it was to spray with pet spray shortly before we checked in. Lots of dirt stains along the hallway. My dog was so disgusted with the bedsheets, she slept completely on top of me. No other options were available. I could go on.

We are sorry you feel that way. The worn spot in the carpet in the room you stayed in is not dog vomit, and there was no ‘attempt to clean it’ because that didn’t happen. Yes, the hall carpet is very stained, it was slated to be replaced before covid hit so obviously that got derailed. If you had complaints about your sheets- or your dog did- you could easily have complained to the front desk, gotten a refund, and stayed at one of the other two hotels literally across the street. Again, we are sorry you did not choose to. Thank you for your feedback.

Okay for a night
No-frills motel. Our room was clean, and that was what we were mainly looking for, but the beds weren't very comfortable, mattresses thin and hard. Breakfast was nothing special, but the price was right.

The hotel is very clean but the room I was staying in didn't have internet or I guess I should say it one had. 5 of a bar. So I couldn't watch any movies or open anything on Google. So if you need that for work make sure you can stay in a room that has internet. But otherwise my stay was good. The breakfast wasn't all that great. There is coffee in your room that you can make to bring down for breakfast, because the juice and hot chocolate machine is broke. They have very old cereal, yogurt waffles, toast or bagels for breakfast and that's it. But if you are on a budget this is the hotel for you.

Thank you for your feedback! We are sorry for your unhappiness with the breakfast. Supply chain issues are still very real for us: the juice machine isn’t broken, we can’t get juice anymore. The coffee machine isn’t broken, we can only get enough for one machine so we chose the one next door in the great room because that’s open all the time. We can’t get cereal because of the strike at Kellogg’s. We can’t get the danishes or other breakfast pastries we used to so we switched to bagels. Again, we apologize! Thank you for your stay!

Not a great place
This is a really basic and not great place to stay. Dark spots on the bathroom wall im guessing was mold. Guest garbage left in the halls from 4 til the next morning due to reduced cleaning services. No tv the first whole day. Blamed the weather but everyone else had it. Finally the next day they took us off cable and on antennae and replaced the tv. Worked. Hall carpet old and very dirty. Wouldnt recommend.

We are sorry you feel that way. We have a number of guests who are on extended stay, working overnights, and since they do not want to be woken up by housekeeping they put their trash outside their door to be taken. We are sorry that bothered you, but we do our best to accommodate everyone, not just one group. Our maintenance person responded to your tv issue within hours of actually being notified, and since our satellite provider is not open on the weekends that was all we could do. We did not find any mold in the bathroom, despite your ‘guess’ but again, we apologize. Thank you for your feedback.

Very limited public areas. Furniture was minimal. Sparse bathroom/washroom area. Poor shampoo/soap. Dreary surroundings. Very limited sack breakfast (packaged cinnamon roll and a granola bar). The best thing was the mattress, which was very comfortable. Also, very efficient air conditioning.

We are still keeping COVID restrictions- grab and go breakfast, lobby closed off, etc- due to an abundance of caution and the current labor shortage. Everything has been affected and is different post pandemic, and unfortunately travel is not an exception, as much as most reviewers seem to want it to be. We have no control over what our location looks like, other then our lawn and building itself, which are landscaped and maintained. We apologize that you didn’t like our soap and shampoo. The front desk woman was quite nice. The evening clerk was very nice too. Unfortunately that is this hotels best attribute. The lobby are still in lockdown. The parking lot is in bad shape. The hallway carpeting is very stained. The carpeting in our room felt dirty. (It's a dark carpet so seeing dirt is difficult). The linens were clean just a little dated. Other then that the rooms themselves were okay. If you are looking for just someplace to sleep one night this place is okay.

Could not, stay, our room was never cleaned, left hotel , room was just slept in, and trash sll over, never got refund! Ot the paper i had to sign..they acted stupid!

We do apologize for the misunderstanding- with early check in such as yours, we haven’t finished room inspections and gotten them ready for check in at 3 pm central, which can result in being checked into a dirty room. Unfortunately this was your experience and again, we apologize and deeply regret the error. However, you decided to be rude to the staff while deliberately misunderstanding them, as you have continued to do in your review. As our front desk agent tried explaining to you, we cannot give you a refund when you have not paid us. You have to contact the website you did actually pay. We cannot give you money back that we do not have. Asking ‘is this a trap?’ and being rude that we require a credit card for incidentals just any other hotel was again, your misunderstanding. We were not and have not charged you for the room. Again, we are sorry for our error and that it caused such unacceptable behavior on your part. Thank you.
