“Fantastic hotel & staff”

A lovely hotel, in wonderful surroundings. Really friendly staff, which, in essence made my stay. The food in the bar was really nice & breakfast too. The housekeepers do a fantastic job too. All round just brilliant.

“We will be back”

As well as being a well appointed hotel, the food was of very good quality adn very reasonably priced. Service at Reception was helpful at all times.

“I intend to enjoy a return visit very soon.”

This hotel is advertised as being within the grounds of an excellent golf course and so it is. It displays an old style graciousness not often seen nowadays and offers the type of service usually expected in the past of such a place but not nowadays and is very welcome for that reason. It is off the beaten track and the better for it. I shall most certainly return when next in that area.

“Not Impressed”

Have stayed in this hotel before and everything was fine but this particular stay was a bad experience, the walls seemed to be very thin and i could here everything in the room next door.

“Beware the plumbing!!”

A shabby hotel with shabby service. In the first room I was allocated the kettle didn't work and the cold water tap was stuck with water leaking slowly out of it. I didn't find this out until late at night - I reported it the next morning. When I returned to the hotel in evening there were two ladies on reception - I asked for my key - they then completely ignored me and had a conversation as follows -' oh she is changing rooms so give her 311 then she can move her stuff. She doesn't need to hurry back with the key as we can't fix 207.' No eye contact - no offer of help with relocating!! After moving to the new room I discovered that the cold tap in the basin didn't work - the top of the tap lifted off in my hand. At breakfast the waiter seated me - in a hurry I asked for bacon and tomatoe and was told to 'just wait - I will come back for the order' When it arrived it was two rashers of bacon and half a tomatoe. In addition to all of this the rooms were shabby with a huge burn mark in one of the carpets. Faulty Towers indeed!! Never again!!
