Local to our family

Posted 28-Dec-2014
Pros: Close to family
Cons: Heating in all rooms to work
Location: Close to Coulsdon town centre
Checked in and given directions to room. Found heating wasn't working so we were invited to change rooms which we did. Everything was good after that

Good value but dont expect perfection.

Nice setting and impressive from the outside. However interally Hotel was looking tired- some peeling wallpaper and frayed carpet in public areas. Room was fine and overall value was good for a London hotel

Beautiful, quiet location

Posted 03-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed here overnight to attend a family party nearby. Good, comfortable room & a beautiful, very quiet, location being set in the middle of a golf course. We only ate breakfast there, which was fine. Only marked them down slightly as the hotel decor is looking a bit tired in places. We would definitely stay there again.

Quaint hotel - a change from all the new hotels !

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Pros: See above
Cons: Someone to empty the outside ashtrays !
Location: Easy access to Center of London and the English Countryside.
Excellent friendly staff ! Good service and food in the Dining Room and Bar. Quiet surroundings because of the adjoining Golf Course. Plenty of car parking spaces. Prompt attention at the Front Desk. Plenty of towels

Good hotel overall but condition of rooms vary

Posted 02-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
Have stayed here a few times, and the condition of the rooms does vary somewhat. The double room I had on this stay was one of the better ones, not much to fault really. Comfortable bed, clean and tidy, the odd small stain on the carpet as is the norm now it seems. Decent price paid on this trip, but as with all London hotels, the price can get to ridiculous levels, which would make it poor value! Also used the gym for the first time, and although well equipped, a lot of the equipment was in dire need of servicing! If the price is reasonable, will stay again.
