I chose this hotel for its location and its bath. My husband must have a good, powerful shower to be happy and I prefer a tub. Our room had both. And Frette bed linens. Add to that an ideal location and accommodating staff, and we're perfectly content.
The building is charming and old. But, the WiFi was strong, and the A/C worked perfectly. So did the hot water, the telephone, and the elevator. The bed was a true king, not the European substitute for a king that is two twins shoved side by side.
We were very happy here and felt that this hotel delivered the extra luxury that we paid for. It was well worth the expense.
"Charming Hotel in the midst of wine growing region"
Lovely hotel in the quiet little village of Puligny. We had a top floor room with beautiful views to the rear with the church and vines growing on the hills. If you want a full tour of the of vines growing, to wine making and bottling - followed by a tasting lunch and meeting the owner Oliver - then this is the place.
The Hotel Le Cep really needs no review - it's reputation is well known and it certainly lived up to it on our visit. The courtyard breakfast/restaurant area is gorgeous, the staff are fabulous and the location could not be better for visiting Beaune and the Bourgogne wine growing estates. There is a reasonably sized private car park - monitored by CCTV though not 'secure' and you may read in some reviews that the toilets in some rooms are tiny. This was true of ours but bear in mind that there was a connecting door between the bedroom and the ensuite area to give some privacy if needed and that mediaeval architecture is worth making some 21st century compromises to live with!
Our hostess was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The room was spotless. We took one of the smaller rooms which might not be suitable for large people but they appeared to have other rooms that would suit them. We expected a basic breakfast and they provided that. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. It is easy to get to and the secure parking is a plus. We would recommend it to most couples.
Second visit here and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast outdoors in the courtyard is a real pleasure. The room was excellent - very clean and a very good ensuite bathroom. There is no restaurant but this really does not matter as there are plenty of restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk.
We've stayed at Hotel Panorama as part of a trip back from holiday for a few years now; the staff have always been charming and the hotel backs onto vineyards that stretch for miles - the views are both spectacular and tranquil, an ideal combination after a day playing with the traffic on the A8. The superior rooms are clean, quiet and also provide hypnotic views. Although it's true that the décor in the hotel is a little tired, this never prevents the stay being pleasant and relaxing. The high point is however the restaurant, where attentive staff and an excellent menu (and wine list, it is Burgundy of course) make for a delightful evening. Sure, you could find fault - but it would be your loss.

Eccentric but in a very nice way building. Close to centre of Beaune. Very helpful staff. Took bags to room which was great as there were 70 odd spiral stairs to the top floor. A beautiful old abbey but bathrooms very modern with excellent toiletries. Free parking near by

I was looking for a hotel in Dijon - this is not anywhere close to that - seriously a 30-40 drive away and 20 minutes to Beaune too. It is on a main roadway next to some grape fields. It was NOT what we thought at all! Kinda noisy from the street - so opening your windows in not a possibility. BUT our room was nice and big. Not very Chic or updated but it was nice and clean with this silly giant bathroom. More 3 star than 4 for sure! The pool is an ice bath so don't bother unless your from the arctic. We didn't eat in the hotel because it was booked the nights we were there - so yes we had to trek a half an hour away to find a place to eat. Don't think I would stay there again.
